This being the 3rd time I tried Jack's Place, I haven't been discouraged from going back yet. Each time, I've been a customer at a different branch. Their service at this branch is quite impeccable. Despite being seated at the table quite early (6pm), they were very courteous and diligent on refilling water glasses all throughout the night.It was a nice place to chill for the night. This is the first time I had dinner at Jack's Place, though. Previously, I had only gone in the morning.
The escargot was presented rather nicely. However, I felt that the garlic taste could be stronger. The garlic pieces were really well done so they eventually became garlic chips. I could be wrong, but it felt like they used oil and not butter (normally) with their escargots as the aroma didn't seem that way.There was garlic bread on the house, but it wasn't enough and it didn't seem right to eat them with the garlic chips that were on the plate.
The lobster with cheese on top had a different taste. I really like how Jack's Place has their own house sour cream. Though it has been their way with the baked potato for years, I do wish they had the option of adding cheese to it. It would be perfect then.Had asked for the steak to be done "medium", but I feel that maybe I should I ask for "medium rare" in the future. Is that scary? Maybe the cooks should keep in mind that the steak is served on a hot plate and that by the time I had a few bites, it was pretty much done.
