I thought this is just another mediocre BBQ Chicken Wings stall amongst the many others. I wanted to order just 1 to go but the stall owner apologised then informed me that the minimum order is 2 pieces. That was a good start. Good customer service is difficult to come by these days. And for a famous stall to do that, such effort is definitely worth commendable. I ordered 2 pieces for $2.40. It served with a small plate of chill and a lime. The chicken wings were freshly grilled to a perfection of golden brown color and not charred like most others. Most stalls have grilled their chicken wings in advance and to re-grill it again if they could not sell it within a certain period of time and by doing it too many times, the chicken wings tend to become too charred and tasted too dry. Apparently this did not seem to be the case right at this stall.
When i had my first mouthful, i was hooked. The skin of their chicken wings was so crispy and flavorful; the meat within tasted so tender and juicy. These chicken wings must have been marinated for quite a long while before barbecued to give it such a robust flavor. This is most probably the best BBQ chicken wing that i have ever eaten. I absolutely loved it.
I will definitely be back for more.
