Having my dinner with colleagues, it was located just opposite SPH building. The whole area of the coffee shop was only left Hong Sheng for dinner time. We reached there around 6.30pm, some of the tables was under reservation. We settled down and ordered the signature food here.Hereby the first dish, the chicken was tasted a bit burnt. Hereby the first dish, the chicken was tasted a bit burnt. Of course the chicken was still crispy, yet it was not very much to my liking.
It was 3 person serving I guessed, the ingredients were quite a lot with prawns, squids, pork belly and veggies. The Hor Fun was not cooked evenly and it was too sticky for me.
Most satisfied dish for me, the taste was great. Sweet and sour without much bone, the meat was tender.
Unfortunately, I don’t like the fish which was quite smelly. I knew it was well-known dish at here, yet I found no reason why, taste of dish was so normal.
Total of Six huge juicy prawns for four of us, prawn was fresh. I would not say it was fantastic however it was above the average standard. Total bill was around $68.00. All the food were below my expectation, it was a disappointed trip. I cannot understand why their service was so bad, no doubt their business was good but they really need to change their attitude.
