At Dome, I was spoiled for choices on what to have for dinner. After much deciding, I ordered a Fish & Chips ($14.90++) as I've been craving for it.The Fish & Chips uses good quality batter as it’s evenly coated with bread crumbs and it delivers a really thin and crispy texture along with the fresh, smooth, juicy and sweet Cod fillet right under the coating. The bread coating wasn’t too thick as it’s just enough to absorb the zest of the lemon. I must say that this fish fillet is pretty well done. I love the french fries too because there is no salt to it and it was crispy by itself. Simple and nice. The salad was not too bad but can be improved as there was too much dressing in the salad.
My friend had a Beef Lasagne ($12.90++) which tasted good. The pasta on it was soft and went really well with the generous portion of minced beef on it. The taste of it isn’t too heavy or creamy as the cheese used was very well balanced with the other ingredients to give it a good overall taste and texture of the lasagne. Topped with tomato based sauce, it complimented the dish really well, giving a little sourish taste to balance off the heavy taste from the cheese and the beef.
I love the food at Dôme which was prepared healthily was but still remained delicious. Overall, my dining experience at Dôme was pleasant but I guess they will have to look into the level service from the staff as they were not attentive, warm and friendly enough. However, I will still visit Dôme as the food is good!
