My first bite was really disappointing as the you tiao seemed to lack crispyness. So I had acutally put it down after my first bite , hoping that my hubby will finish it for me. But after chewing for a few minutes, there was an unusual taste that I get it from the you tiao.. saltiness that linger in your mouth after swallowed.
