Did not notice this stall's presence. When I am always there for late dinner, just happen to be there early only then did I noticed there's a stall selling curry puff. Out of curiosity bought one and tried out. First bite on the curry puff feels crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. When I bought it it was still pipping hot. I had not been to Plaza Singapura eversince they did a major revamp. This was the first time I had been to the ground level. What caught my eyes when I got down from the escalator was this particular stall selling Tako. Since my partner had a craving for it due to the nice fragrance emitting form the stall. We opted for octopus, prawn, ham and cheese. The Tako taste good maybe due to my growling stomach. One bite and we can feel the crunchy filling. The ball also tasted very soft too. Was in town today for errant and meeting. Had not had anything since lunch, was pretty famished. Happened to be here and this is one of the stalls that's open.Ordered the "mee kia" dry version with chilli. On the board the Small - $3.50, Medium - $4.50 and Large - $5.50. I ordered the medium size thinking that the portion will be like the other stalls which was very very small. It was a mistake cos the portion was big and I couldn't finish the whole bowl of noodle. Well I kind of like the sauce used with the noodle neither too salty or plain. The chilli not too spicy. Then over to the ingredient bowl. Char Siew noodle (dry) - The noodle mixed well with the black sauce. One thing about this version compared to the Singaporean version is the colour. While this uses dark sauce, noodle feels springy not overcooked. The Char Siew does not looks dry and I was given the slightly fatty portion. I was told this particular roti john taste good, since I like it traditional without the extra mayonnaise topping which can be very "jer lak". This was served with half loaf of french toast, which was sliced by another half. Then pan fried with the ingredient mainly eggs, mutton, onion etc etc on both sunny side, then served pipping hot. I especially like the homemade chilli sauce that comes with it in a bottle. They are very generous with the chilli sauce not restricitng the amount.First bite it taste crispy and hot. Everytime when I dropped by IMM, I would always have this nice smelling aroma within the basement. As with good food there will be long snaking queue and I am curious why would they wait so ever patiently for a piece of bread. On that particular day I was there, there was no queue. I decided to try it and just nice they had a tray fresh out of the oven. I finally got it and pipping hot. The crust was crispy and sweet on the outside, while it was soft and fluffy on the inside. That weekend we were in Funan IT mall for gadget shopping. As the shop we wanted to visit were not opened yet. We decided to have a early tea break.My partner ordered the kaya toast set, which consists of 2 pieces of toast spread with kaya and butter, tea and two half boiled eggs. We were in Bukit Timah to shop for some kitchenware. We were famished from all the shopping. I had decided to go for fish soup as I wanted something light for the day. Went through the OpenRice iPhone apps and found this.When ordering we can have a choice of red grouper or batang aka mackeral. I decided to choose the later. Had to run errant and meet up with my friends in Tanjong pagar area today. Wanted to have a quick and hassle free lunch. Went in to order my favorite meal. The Filet-O-Fish value meal.The cashier asked me if I wanted to upsize my meal for extra, but don't see the need. Overall the meal comes with a regular drink and fries. Head over to Ikea for some new shopping, as usual need to satified the stomach before any shopping can be down. The place can be very crowded during the weekends, the cafe will always be filled with hungry patrons every hour. The two must try dishes for me is the Swedish meat balls and chicken wings. Craving for chicken wings lately. I knew UNO served one of the best chicken around, when you order the wings it will come in 2 pieces, the wing and drum. It's fried to golden brown which I love, as with most fried food they will drain the oil of the wings before serving you. I was to attend a function at Clark Quay. Happen to drop by Central and my function does not start in 2 hours decided to have dinner first. Past by this small corner stall selling Korean food. The were a couple of diners there, saw this dish of meat with fish where the other diners were having. Decided to order that too. The dish was known as Hot plate beef and Saba fish set. The beef tasted very tender and chewy, tasted nice very well marinated. While the Saba fish does not this fishy smell which I like. it accompanied with a small portion of kimchi and anchovies. Seah Im Food centre used to be one of my favorite hawker centre during my schooling days. There are too many delicious food here and I always cannot decide what to eat. Many years later I decided to re-visit this hawker centre again and I still faced the same problem. After walking 2 rounds I decided to try the prawn noodle from Shi Ji Noodle Stall.Besides selling Prawn Noodle, they also sell Lor Mee, Duck Noodle and Tom Yam Seafood NoodleThey are very generous with the ingredients. This stall is operated by a couple. The husband does the cooking of noodles while the wife prepares the ingredients and collect money.
