This store sells kway chap and pig's organ soup, but what I like best is their Yam Rice, its full of old time favor. You can find in the rice is typically large slice of yam, mushroom, pork fat and dry shrimp. Ingredients one will find in a dumpling.Whenever I decided to order the pig's organ soup, if the yam rice is not ready. I would rather not go ahead with the order. Me and my father use to frequent the old store at middle road at the old days. The broth was good and the instestines and thouroughly clean so you do not taste any odd smell when you eat them.There is another store located in sam leong road which are inherited from the same owner selling the same type of noodles. I have tried both of them.Sam Leong road is more to the old taste, however this stall the standard occasionally fluctuate. I always wanted to try the noodles from this stall but I give up when I saw the long queue. This store is aways frequented by lots of people and when I saw those patrons taking the noodles, the noodles seems delicious.My chance came when I visited the place at a weekday, when I saw the queue is short. I order a bowl of "mee poh". The helper and the owner was very fast in serving up the noodles. It was top with chili and tomato sauce which makes the dish a bit of hot and sweet taste.The fishball was spongy which I heard was hand made by the owners. I have frequented this store for quite some time as the location is near to my place. I find this mee hoon is slightly tastier then others from the same line, because they includes garlic in the Mee Hoon.Food is nice, but the auntie who is serving the customers are very slow. The time I visited is during the non peak hours which is around 09:20am but the store have about five persons queuing. I have been patronizing this store since I was a teenager. Till now, the taste remains the same standard especially the soup base. For new customers, please note that this store does not sell dry noodles, only soup one :) There is another store located at 269B Queen street which is selling exactly the same noodles. Even the color of their utensils are also the same. Do not know whether they are somehow related. The ingredients and the soup aroma is the same.However, the store at Sam Leong road attracts more customer. Do expect to wait approx 10mins for the food to be serve.…查看更多
