The chicken hot pot tasted just like claypot chicken. Basically, it consist of bits of chicken with bits of capsicum, onion and celery. I find that this is simply overrated as this dish is really normal. Not alot of meat in fact. More bones and the other ingredients. Steak at lenas. I had it in medium rare. The meat was pretty tough for my liking. It was more like medium instead of medium rare. The sauce was a bit bland. All in all, i didn't like it at all. The sides are a tad too dry. There's a slice of tomato at the bottom and some garnishes at the sides, perhaps parsley. Given a choice, i will not order this. Their service was acceptable. Service is bad but i can't comment as it is just 1 staff that is pulling off a grumpy face. The rest was nice though. I think this particular staff had a bad day. Ikea is forever full 24/7. It is really hard to get a seat on normal days let alone on peak hours. I headed there for breakfast and it was really crowded. I had a plate of pasta with meatballs. I love Ikea's meatballs as they are super delicious and well seasoned! The pasta are well cooked. The only thing i dislike was the sauce. It was tomato based and pretty sourish in my opinion. BBQ hot wings! It is indeed hot!!! Looked normal but it is really tasty. The outer layer is really crispy and the inner meat is juicy and succulent. Yums! I like the way it is barbecued. It is well marinated and you can really taste the freshness of the chicken wings. If you can't take spicy, i urge you not to order this. It was bearable but still a little hot in my opinion! Absolutely zero complains here! Brought my girlfriend here during Christmas! It's basically Tiramisu cake with the festive season decorations. Wordings were made by my gf with a fork.. Anyway, this cake is really delicious! I can finish the entire piece and order for another one all by myself. It is soft and tasty with a mixture of alcohol and coffee with cocoa. Yummy! Pretty crowded during peak hours. I went during dinner hour, so it's pretty crowded. Waiting time is really long as well. I had my dish of western fusion meal! It consist of thick huge sausages, fries and rice. The rice are well marinated and fries are well seasoned. It is tasty. The main highlight would be their sausage. After ordered my Hao Jian, I walk passed this MA BO Lor Mee stall as not many of the stall was open in the morning. Bought a bowl of Lor Mee. The waiter was friendly enough to give me a big bowl full of lor mee. Poured a lot of vinegar to enhance the taste of the Lor Mee. The Lor sauce was thick and well cook. After my medical appointment at NUH, I drove to Bukit Merah for my breakfast with my friends. Ordered a plate of Hao Jian as i walk passed this stall and the craving was there after i was hao jian picture. Waited like 10 min for Uncle to fry finish while i went to order other food. The portion for $3 plate was rather very little to share among 3 persons. The oysters are well cooked and juicy with no tinge of unfreshness. After a light dinner, it time for some dessert. Walk passed Yami Yami and saw a new flavour which i had never try before and here i go again. The waitress wasnt kind enough to give me more. It seem like i can finish it within 3 spoon. =( The Corn flavour Yami Yogurt come with a pale yellow colour and topped it with watermelon my most common topping. The yogurt was smooth and melt fast in the mouth and tasted exactly like eat sweet corn. Went to Brotzeit to try out their famous pork knuckles which was recommended by my friend. It was my first time trying German food. The cost for this dish was quite expensive but who cares, i am here to try it out anyway. Asked the waiter is the pork knuckles portion for 1 or 2 person and was told by them it was for 1 person and when the dish came, i was like OMG.. it so damn huge. 1st look was like a chao ta piece of rock. I slowly cut it open and had my 1st bite and the skin was as hard as a rock but it was crispy. It just taste like roasted pork with thick layers of fats inbetween. I've been eating this mee Siam for as long as I can remember. Bought 2 packs to office for breakfast. The mee Siam gravy is so thick with just the right amount of sweet and sour but i prefer extra sour so squeezed extra 1/2 lime juice. It wasnt that spicy too which suitable to people who love mee siam yet scare spicy one. The hard boiled egg was well peeled leaving a smooth finish without leaving any egg membrane. Went to Wo ai taimei for cold drink. I had their normal milk tea with grass jelly. I chose grass jelly instead of their pearls as i had tried a couple of times and their pearls are pretty hard. Grass jelly is in huge chunk and can be suck up easily via the huge straw given. The texture is really great. Smooth and tasty! I find the milk tea a little powdery though. I had pineapple icy cold drink. It was topped with a huge load of ice at the top. Scoop and eat it like ice cream. Yummy! For my curry rice, i had the normal ones with cream croquette. The outer layer was very crispy and tasty and the inside was creamy and delicious. I can't taste much of the meat except thick oozing cream. The texture of the curry was really great too. I had a few starters namely drunken chicken and cold tofu. The drunken chicken was pretty salty. I like those chopped vegetables at the top which made the entire dish stands out really well. The chicken weren't really fresh i suppose as there's this strong smell. It was cold as well. Next, i had cold tofu drenched in sesame sauce. The sesame sauce was thick and rich.
