Have been wanting to visit this cafe since it was featured on tv quite some time ago. My friend and I decided to hop in on a lazy Saturday afternoon. While orchard road was crowded to the maximum with people and noise. We we're surprised to find this cafe rathar quiet and thus tuck ourself at a cosy corner. We ordered the set for 2, at $48. It may sounds a little costly but the food turn out to be worth it all. The set comes with choice of drink from their many many pages menu, so many I took awhile to decide. Want the lychee tea. The tea pot came out in a nice kelt presentation and wow the tea was fragrant and not too overwhelm, lightly with a tinge of lychee sweetness. The two-tier snacks turn out to be too pretty we couldn't stop taking pictures. Don't be fooled only by its look. The food are yummy! I specially love the wrap which looks and may taste Like roti prata but wow it burst into fragrant when we bite into It. Crispy and not too oily, was a perfect complement to the tea serve :) Definitely would love to visit this place again to try its other extensive list of tea. I visited with my group of girl friends last thursday. As the place was pretty small, we waited a fair bit for a table for 5, took us around 15-20 mins before we were seated. French Onion soup: this was so so as I have tasted better ones with stronger fragrance of onion elsewhere.Poulet Rosti (Roast Chicken) : the chicken meat was really tender, hard to believe that it was roasted as the marinating was just nice yet the chicken wasn't tough. The mushroom sauce goes well with the chicken, however we all felt they could give abit more sauce for one whole chicken we ordered.Braise Duck: All of us agree that this was the best dish out of what we ordered! The duck meat was so succulent and tender it doenst require much effort to remove the bone from it! The wine sauce goes well with it and the cranberry adds a tinge of surprise to the dish!Iberico pork belly: we were all very worried that the belly will be too fat for the acceptance of 5 girls. But surprisingly the pork belly was so tender and the mustard sauce goes so well with the pork we finished it off in minutes. However one thing to note is we all felt that the dishes were too salty with their sauce as we all felt thirsty after the meal. Ah Loy Thai has always been my number 1 Thai food place! Each time I crave for Thai food, I would craves for Ah Loy's! What's thai food without Tom yum soup right? Their tom yum seafood soup packs quite a punch with the right dose of fiery goodness and sourness! (I personally hates tom yum soup what is either only hot or sour) The soup is full of seafood goodness: fish , sotong and prawns with great freshness. A must order. I love their mango crispy chicken, the chicken was marinated to perfection and it was fried and served with sour mango that removes the greasiness of fried food and yet adds a unique blend to the chicken itself! Their calamari is famous! I was fried nicely on the outside and inside with a strong buttery taste. however many times I go, it was sold out, perhaps Ah Loy can have more quantity for that? If not it would leave many disappointed on their visit. Only bad thing is it closes early, so if u want to make it in time for dinner, do go early! …查看更多

:) A must try for mushroom lover!! we had the buffet at the Indoor Stadium outlet on a weekday night, the restaurant was decently crowded, staff were quick to usher us to a table when we enter. Needless to say, their steamboat soup broth was mushroom based, at first I was worried it might be too mushroom-ly and have a strong smell that bf couldn't take it, but surprisingly the soup broth was a nice blend of mushroom and maybe herbs? The ingredients for steamboat was decent, fish slices, chicken, pork slices all goes well with the soup. One good point to note is they serve cooked food, my boyfriend even ordered fried noodles! I love their monkey head mushroom, it was juicy and very chewy, one can never stop at just eating one. Another dish I LOVE is their fried bun, the bun was nicely fried to a crispy outside and soft bun inside, I can eat 4 on my own despite being very full with the steamboat dishes. Finally a chance to visit Chye Seng Huat Hardware, the place was crowded when I visited on a weekend afternoon after hearing all the hype about this place. was very surprised to find a café with exterior/entrance that looks like a old shop house. We both had hot chocolate only as we were too full. the hot chocolate was very thick and I would say worth the try =)Would definitely visit again to try the cakes! …查看更多

first tried this awesome desserts back in Taiwan! I was totally hooked onto it I ate it everynight as supper! sadly when we come back I realize Singapore grass jelly doesn't taste the same as I thought I remembered it did... until my frds and I casually pass this place and needed a rest... wow! no doubt it doesn't taste as wow as I first tried it in Taiwan.. but the grass jelly was good! cooling! and perfect to quench the thirst and heat here in Singapore! will go back to satisfy my cravings for Taiwanese desserts again! definitely! :):):):):):):):):):)…查看更多
