I like to eat mixed rice as there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. I ordered a healthy meal today - 2 vegetable sides and a spring roll. The stall owner gave me a complimentary vegetable soup as well. The portion of the sides is generous, the long bean is crunchy and not overcooked. As for the spring roll, it tasted not fresh or perhaps its fried earlier in the day and it was soft by the time i ordered it. This is one of my favorites! It is a must-order dish whenever i go to Plaza Singapura. Although there are many other better food places, i will still patronize this stall.I highly recommend this as the soup is not salty and it tasted better with milk. The main highlight is the fried fish - it is very fresh and big. The usuals are the seaweed and the additional ingredients for soup. I will usually opt to top up the fried fish as the usual portion is not enough. And that cost me an additional of $1 for 2 pieces. A friend of mine have been asking me to try the pork noodle here, it was on his list of 'Must try food' list. I reached at about about 1030am, and there is already a queue of 5 people. Ordered the soup based minced pork noodle and surprisingly, the soup is extremely nice. It tasted like its boiled from the bones of the meat than MSG-flavoured. It was so delicious that i emptied the bowl, wanted to ask for an extra bowl of soup but the queue doesnt stop as lunch is near. The noodle is tender and chewy and it doesnt have a usual heavy noodle flour taste. It was lunch time and every stall is crowded, except for this stall. Was too lazy to queue thus i went straight to this stall instead.It sells local delights, Bak Chor Mee. I ordered it with chilli and it comes with braised mushrooms, fried dumpling and minced meat.The meatball is sold out and the staff replaced it with 2 fried dumplings. The dumpling is not crispy at all and it seems that it has been there for awhile, but the noodle is tender and easy to chew. Regretted ordering the spicy version as i could only taste chilli and nothing else. This costs me $3.50. I think the only one stall of Yong tau Fu is selling fried meatball, first time trying. During lunch time the queue is super long. It take about 20 minute food to be serve. I ordered soup with broccoli, mushroom, fried meatball, meatball. The signature fried meatball is crispy and taste great! love it some much. But for the soup,is just normal for me. Walk pass here often, today decided come in and try out their signature dish. Ordered their signature dish of La Mian with In-House Stewed Pork Ribs and La Mian in minced Meat (Pork) and Mushroom Sauce. I like the soup with nice noodle and well-prepared soup of the Stewed Pork Ribs the pork is soft and tender it come about 3-4 slice pork, and the noodle is just nice, not overcooked. Mei Heong Yuen, i think one of the popular dessert restaurant in singapore. Cause everytime i walk pass here is always packed and very hard to get a seat. So today i decide to take away. After work, very hungry look for some delicious food, decided to have my dinner here, i ordered Garlic Mussels, cost $7.95 and Small Grill $19.90 it take about 20 minutes the food finally served up. The Garlic Mussels the taste is really flavorful, and they serve some slide bread. It just nice to paste on the garlic sauce. Lunch hours, notice this stall is very long queue. so decide to try out the lor mee, i ordered extra $1 for 4pcs fried fish and 1 Lor Mee. The Lor mee, it come with slice pork meat, fish cake, and additional 1 fried fish, overall the taste is not bad. The fried fish not so oily. In the early morning want to have a warm beverage for my stomach, i ordered a warm soya bean milk from this stall. Uncle is very kind and friendly. I wanted to take away, the cup size is about large size of the drink it only cost me $1. Is very worth it. The soya bean milk is smooth and soft, taste is just nice, not too sweet. I like to eat Lor Mee, only in Singapore able to find nice Lor Mee, here is one of stall selling at kopitiam here. It take sometime to queue up here. I order Lor Mee, it come with half egg, small slice pork, wu xiang, slice fish cake.The portion is not so many, just good enough. SO, Remember come on Wednesday. I order 2 scoop - 1 is Cookie Chocolate and 1 Chocolate, it cost me $6. Feeling not so well, might be due to the weather, after work come to here order a fresh and cold Qing tang, it come with all the herbal inside the soup. It is a sweet soup with white fungus, red dates, gingkgo, lily bulbs, lotus seeds and dried longan meat in it. It can be soothe the heated body. I like the dried longan it taste sweet. This stall always long queue, i saw there many orders the dish, so i decide to try out the dry 刀削面, they have black pepper chicken/seafood/beef. i ordered is black pepper chicken. I cannot take too spicy dish, for this dish is too much pepper, so very spicy for me. For the chicken meat, is no taste at all. Today come into the Ramen Champion here, there many different kind of Japanese Cuisine stall.I decide to try out this Bario Stall, ordered Special TonKotsu Ramen, the Japanese service crew is friendly. Finally the Ramen is here, it looks good! Many Bean sprouts on top, and 3 slice meat, and the egg.
