As their name suggested, this place serve two type of pots and we were lucky to come in a group of eight and therefore able to try both the mookata and the laksa pot.  The service was friendly and we feel at ease asking numerous questions on the menu while ordering.  The food was fresh and eating it after dipping the bbq meat in the thai sauce was worth the wait cooking it yourself.  Pairing it with the savoury laksa pot that came in a claypot was a great enjoyment!  The laksa pot itself hold different levels of flavour as you add the chicken stock when the pot slowly reduces, it goes from strong sauce like to a drinkable soup towards the end.  We certainly had a great experience at this small but cozy restaurant that provided service with a smile.  Hence, very happy to take some time in writing this review. :)Finally I have tasted great vietnamese food again! After more than a decade upon my return from my studies in the US where many vietnamese immgrants have set up restaurant serving good authentic food. I was disappointed when I could not find anything close in Singapore and have basically gave up. After many good reviews by friends, I decided to give Long Phung a try. Upon arrival I noticed many diners of vietnamese decent and I thought to myself, this have to be good because they know better. Prices and portion are very reasonable and plenty of choices in the menu. Second time in this restaurant after a long time and was only back because of an online deal. The lack of service and rudeness of the cashier(different person) is still the same. The first time maybe couple of years back, I was surprised at the additional charge of $1 for the soup afterall the set already cost $25+ and the soup given seemed like plain water to me with the additional small piece of kelp. I asked the lady at the cashier about it. Her answer was yes they charge if not they will give plain water only for the soup. Now the second time there, I noticed that the plain water soup is free while others are chargable. Knowing that most customers are using vouchers, they did not serve the sesame sauce until I asked for it and told that since it's cheap voucher its only given upon request. Upon paying I was surprised that the voucher did not include gst & service, and cashier not so kindly told me that: "you all buy voucher never read one ah". After all the additions of soupbase flavour, tea, gst, service,and voucher price, it's back to $22+ per pax. Is the food good enough to endure this type of rudeness? No! I would assume that they sell the voucher to have more customers know them and in turn return or recommend.
