The curry puffs here are so crispy and delicious. The pastry is light and flaky and breaks apart when you bite into eat to reveal a moist potato curry puff filling. The filling is spicy enough and is very flavorful. Although its alot smaller than other places like old Chang kee, the flavour is more compact so your not missing out on anything! Much prefer this smaller version to the overly thick type. continue reading

The curry puffs here are one of the 'all the favourite' finger foods for my family. We usually will buy a dozen in a box to share during our tea break sessions. The crusts are very crispy and not too oily. Enjoy the curry potato fillings inside as they are more towards the weter version which is not too dry and at the same time very fragrant. Each piece is not more that one dollar and fifty cents, which is quite reasonable in price and great to share with your love ones. continue reading

Old Chang Kee and 1A's curry puffs are the only curry puffs I eat. Both the restaurants serve curry puffs with delicious fillings. The difference, however, is the skin of the curry puff. 1A's curry puffs are extremely crispy and the skin is thinner than Old Chang Kee's. I personally prefer 1A's curry puff skin b/c it is not too floury either. The amount of fillings in 1A's curry puffs lose out slightly to Old Chang Kee's but they are pretty difference in a way that 1A's curry puff's curry is more watery which makes the curry puff not that dry (The skin is pretty dry). The curry is very tasty and potatoes are not overly-cooked. It is a perfect snack. Do give it a try! continue reading

i was looking for a light snack to satisfy my hunger. i came across 1A curry puff while on my search for a light snack. i never seen a stall dedicated to saying just curry puffs so i decided to give it a try.they had a wide variety and i was spoilt for choice. they have curry potato and chicken puff, curry potato and chicken puff with egg, sardine puff, black pepper chicken, otah puff, chilli crab puff and vege puff for the savory and for the sweet they have yam paste puff, sweet corn puff and durian puff.as i preferred savory, i decided to try something new, the otah puff. the pastry was very crispy and flakey. one bite into it will send crumbs dropping everywhere. the buttery smell made the pastry very fragrant. the otah paste was not too spicy but very tasty. i never regret ordering this. continue reading
