Ambience at Brewerkz has a modern industrial feel. You can actually see their beer brewing machinery, under the industrial looking water tower! Colours of blue, grey, and silver, along with wooden furniture, corrugated zinc decked bar tops, and warm, low ambient mood lighting creates a relaxed, casual, intimate atmosphere. The private booths are perfect for small groups, while the outdoor al-fresco seating along the Singapore River is picturesque at night. Overall, very good ambience!

Service at Brewerkz is friendly and efficient. Although it's sometimes hard to catch their attention, as staff are almost always rushing around, they do attend to requests very quickly. Staff also offer greetings / goodbyes to diners. Waiting time for orders is decent, expect to be served within 15 minutes or so, even during peak periods. The menu has helpful descriptions of each dish, but staff may not always be able to answer questions on the food. Decent service overall.

Food at Brewerkz is all about classic American dishes, served in large, hearty portions. Recently though, Brewerkz has also started to hand make more items on premises, such as desserts. Expect heavy Southen influence in dishes, particularly from the state of Texas in the United States Of America. Food is generally full of flavour, accompanied by tasty sauces, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. Budget about SGD $37 per person for a meal with drinks here.

The 3 Big Pigs Platter (SGD $90) is served with a chunky, slightly creamy White Cheddar Mashed Potato, and features the 3 signature meat items here. The Baby Back Ribs is done East Texas style, with fork tender pork meat that tears off the bone easily, and a sweet, tangy, sticky barbecue sauce glaze that coats the entire rib, making it very succulent and tasty! The Kielbasa Sausages are hearty, meaty, large pork sausages that are grilled perfectly, with a juicy interior and a snappy casing exterior. The Pork Knuckle is oven baked till the skin crisps, and is served over tangy sauerkraut, akin to traditional German styles. However, this was my least favourite of the 3 items, because the Pork Knuckle meat was somewhat dry. Overall, a very good dish worth ordering to share!

The Satay Seafood Angel Hair Pasta (SGD $25) was created to celebrate Singapore's Golden Jubilee year / SG50. The reimagined Satay Bee Hoon features tender red snapper fish, and chewy soda cuttlefish, doused in a savoury, sweet, crunchy homemade cashew nut gravy. Complimented by the bouncy al-dente angel hair pasta, this dish hits all the right notes of flavour and texture. Well thought out, well executed, completely delicious. Easily our favourite dish of the evening, highly recommended!

Anyway, since we could not decide on which beer to have, we decided to go for the Beer Sampler set (SGD$13.00 for 4 glasses x 90ml). Amongst them, there were Golden Ale, Hopback Ale, Wheat Beer, Jubilee Lager, Pilsner, Lemondrop Pale Ale, Steam Beer, Irish Red Ale, Black Raspberry Ale, Brown Ale, India Pale Ale, Oatmeal Stout, XIPA and Black Pig. I know, what interesting names, right?

We started with Soba Noodle Salad (SGD$23.00) which consisted of lots of greens, cherry tomatoes, teriyaki chicken, wanton skin and Asian Vinaigrette dressing, all tossed in a large glass bowl. The vinaigrette was great - all the right notes of sour and sweet flavours perking the crisp greens up; the teriyaki chicken strips were tender, and I absolutely dug the wanton skin topping the salad.

Next, we were treated to the Chipotle Pork Belly Satay (SGD$ ), holding a class of its own, with succulent meat balanced by its wobbly faty parts, giving the satay a chewy-ness that was both tantalising and pleasing to the palate. Dipped into the traditional satay sauce, this made for a very tasty "atas-version" of good Chinese roast-pork (燒肉) on a skewer.

Moving on, the Tasmanian Mussels (SGD$25.00), served in cream sauce and served with warm, crispy Focaccia Bread. Fresh, springy mussels extracted from their shells, soaked nicely with the scrumptious cream sauce that made it nearly juicy; swishy upon contact with the teeth.

For mains, we dug heartily into the 3 Big Pigs (SGD$90.00), the ideal platter for pork lovers, to go along with Beers with. This serves up to 4 pax, consisting of Kielbasa sausage, baby back ribs and crispy pork knuckle, with mashed potato by the side. Whether you are looking for some crunch, a touch of tenderness or crackling delight, this platter has it all.

Now, onto my favoritest of the evening - Satay Seafood Angel Hair Pasta, a limited time only item, comprising of red snapper and soda cuttlefish in rich homemade satay gravy. You know, the tangy and thick peanut gravy used in satay beehoon or for dipping satay? This was marvellously spicy, flavour infusing deeply into the seafood items as well; tossing the springy strands of pasta in, made this an incredibly delicious dish, fulfilling all criteria of textures and taste.

The first dessert was Warm Brownie (SGD$14.00) - a large square of rich, indulgent and sweet brownie topped with vanilla ice-cream and honeycomb, slushed with hot stout-fudge sauce. The texture reminded me of mud totally - every bit as sticky and firm, only smoother, and a thousandfold more palatable. The use of honeycomb added a refreshing touch, though I am unsure if the brownie needs anymore sweetness to it.

Next up, Oreo Ice-Cream Cake (SGD$14.00), hard on the fork but melty on the tongue. Fans of cookies-and-cream flavour will find this completely delightful. Not only did I enjoy every morsel of this darling, I thought it was very gratifying to find the layers of chocolate coating on top, and beneath the ice-cream cake too, holding it intact and adding to the taste.

The dim setting with booths was comfortable, casual, relaxing and beckoning - all the warmth of a good old American style restaurant. Service was rather fast and efficient, so we were able to place our orders shortly after being seated. The place was packed with happy diners on this public holiday afternoon.

For one of the starters, we had the Salt & Pepper Calamari Rings (SGD$17.00 for large) - crispy and tasty deep fried squid rings. I love calamari for crispy exterior encapsulating chewy flesh within, and this met my expectations in texture. Flavor was good too, the hints of pepper and salt were evident but not overpowering.

*Celine decided to go for The Artisan Pizza (SGD$23.00), a crispy pizza with thick crust. The pizza consisted of duck confit, roasted tomatoes and caramelized onions - and it was a wonder of flavors exploding in one's mouth. Imagine having duck confit on a pizza... no wonder she strived to finish the pizza despite the large portion.

I selected the Seafood Spaghetti (SGD$27.00) after much deliberation. The portion was huge and the pasta was not springy. The tomato sauce was strong - sweet, sour and rich. The seafood portion was rather generous as well, lots of clams, prawns and squids (too bad no mussels for the day), adding to the palate a combination of the seaworthy sweetness of these delicacies. It fared rather all right for a marinara spaghetti and I have no complaints at its wholesome simplicity.

Among the choices available, I opted for Herd-garlic fries. Specialty gravy made my beef extremely rich and even tangier than having it plain. Everything was finely smooth, I enjoyed my dinner moment here. Such splendid restaurant in both ambience and service, it was impossible to avoid a crowd at night.

The nachos ($20) came piled high, topped with oozy cheese, salsa, avocado dip, sour cream and jalepenos. the nachos were crunchy and lightly salted, tasty on their own! it served as a great neutralizer to the overwhelming flavours of the other dishes towards the end of the meal when i was full to bursting.

the must-try fried cheese sticks ($19) which my sister recommended lived up to our expectations wonderfully. an oozy mix of mozzarella, swiss and cheddar cheese encased in crunchy breadcrumbs. absolutely sinful, but lip-smackingly delicious. eat it while its hot and oozy! (:

the two appetizers were enough to fill us up substantially. when the full rack of pork ribs ($54) was served, i nearly baulked at the size. it was a generous serving! (: the ribs were tender and the meat fell off the bone easily. mmm (: and there was extra bbq sauce provided which was great!

the grilled 1/2 chicken ($26) was yummy as well! drenched with the same sauce as the bbq pork ribs, this was another delightful main dish.

We were consider the early dinner crowd at 7pm plus

Orders were taken fast and we got a pizza, some buffalo wings and a malt beer to split!
The pizza's tasty, though it's typical mushrooms and hams but i love that its freshly made!
The tomato sauce was fresh and the cheese was tangy!
The buffalo wings was quite salty, wouldn't recommend

The beer's ok too, my friend liked the malt taste but for me its so so as i don't really like beer

Overall this is a good place to chill and hangout

Nice Wednesday Night , so we got to fill our stomachs first before we go parrrrtieee… The semi open space of this place is nice and plentiful of seats.
Friendly staff took our orders of Brewerkz burger and Massive Pork Knuckle.

Supposedly juicy grilled beef with crusty burger buns was first to come up, I thought it was a little sad looking as the buns easily shadowed the meat in size. Taste wise was average. Nothing outstanding. It is grilled alright, but it wasn’t juicy. The buns was soft and fragrant. The salads on the sides was crunchy and refreshing.
Flavorful, succulent soft meat wrapped with crispy pork skin was DELICIOUS, served with appetizing sauerkraut and creamy mashed potatoes. The size of the pork was huge! Fermented cabbage was crunchy and mashed potatoes were really mushy and airy while complimenting the pork nicely.

Now I wished the grilled beef’s size was equivalent to the pork knuckle’s.

The standard of the food here has noticeably gone down, with the grub ranging from mediocre to average and pedestrian.

We ordered almost everything on the appetizers and sides menu for sharing, and got a few mains to share as well. With the exception of the onion rings and mushrooms, the rest of the sides and appetizers weren't finished.

We had:

1) Beer Chilli Cheese Fries ($19): good, with a generous helping of melted cheese and chunky beef chilli. But, you've gotta eat this piping hot. It was a turgid yucky mess once it got tepid

2) Calamari ($25 for large) with marinara sauce was unfortunately overcooked so the squid rings turned out a tad rubbery. These needed a bit of chewing to get through

3) Spicy Whitebait ($17) with lemon garlic mayo was pretty alright, the batter was nicely spiced and flavoursome

4) Fried Shrimp ($17) with lemon aioli was bad. The prawns, with shells on, weren't fried to a crisp, with the batter being too thick and all, resulting in mushy meat and a tough shell that you couldn't just eat together with the miserly meat.

5) Buffalo Chicken Wings ($27 for large) marinated with hot NY sauce, was good. The hot sauce was spicy enough and the wings were juicy and flavoursome enough. Crudites and cool ranch dressing provided some respite from the heat of the hot sauce

6) Double Cheese Nachos ($42 for large) with jalepenos, guacamole, sour cream and salsa, were pretty delicious, but like the beer chilli cheese fries, also got a little disgusting once it got tepid and the cheese hardened into an unappetizing cold lump

7) Beer Battered Onion Rings ($12) were one of the better sides, with a whole moist and juicy onion ring covered in a thick batter and fried to a crisp

8) Herb Garlic Fries ($10), thick cut for a substantial bite, were also pretty good. A liberal sprinkling of dried herbs and garlic salt made this quite the yummy snack

Felt like eating salads so walked past Brewerks and saw that they were selling different varieties of salad. I ordered the Soba Noodle Salad with teriyaki chicken which is an interesting combination. There were your usual Greens, soba noodles and teriyaki chicken with Asian vinaigrette. The chicken was so-so unfortunately because it was rather dry. Saw another table eating the salmon one so wondering if it tastes better hmmm.

Despite being an American in Singapore and Brewerkz being arguably the most prominent American restaurant in Singapore, I had never been here till recently.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. They have very good lunchtime specials with a decent sized burger or half sandwich with fries and a beer for about 14 a piece.

The burger wasn't the best I've had in Singapore, but it was cooked properly without all the unnecessary extra flavor that you sometimes find in burgers here. The pulled pork sandwich was very nice and has me ready to try their Reuben next... to finally have a good Reuben in Singapore would be a great find...

This place offers a wide range of house draft beers and a rotating seasonal menu where they offer guest beers. They also have a wide range of bottled beer. The beer is good and brewed literally in house.

The food is also to my taste. They offer mainly western food: lamb rack, ribs, burgers etc. Its all good and big portions.

The interior is like a sports bar. Its huge and very high ceilings. Its not romantic at all, more suited to large groups and parties, noisy atmosphere.

Price seems slightly high but it is always full.
