I have been visiting this stall since I was a kid. My mom told me they used to be a roadside cart and upgraded to a stall in "xin pa sat", and eventually found their way to a hidden corner in Chinatown Hawker Centre. Hidden gem with history. The couple in the stall was courteous, if quiet. They deftly make the ah-ballings upon order. The only available soup base is pandan, which is mildly sweet. My favorite fillings were yam and black sesame. The ah balling skin is chewy and thin. Be careful whe

Had a take away instead as it was tough to find seats there, the area was quite stuffy too. The soup is great! Every mouth of the soup encompasses the pandan leaves used to boil it. The tang yuen is as good, with the pandan fragrance too. The black sesame filling was fantastic!

This is another regular stall that i always come by whenever i am in town. Nothing too fanciful but for that bowl of different filling ah ballings in a pandan tasting sugar syrup. This is one of the perfect choice for dessert after a full meal. Amongst the 5 different type of fillings: peanuts, white sesame, yam, red bean and green bean. My personal favorite gotta be the peanuts and yam. You have them served to you in a traditional looking bowl and that old school taste is simply unforgettable.H

This is another famous stall in the hawker centre selling traditional style of ah balling. Some people might not know what is ah balling. It is actually giant sweet dumpling with filling. You will get 5 pieces of different fillings (peanuts, white sesame, yam, red bean and green bean) for $2.50 but if you wanted those with durian filling then it would be $4.00 for 5 pieces. All are very nice with a soft and chewy texture in a hot bowl of pandan flavor sugar syrup.

Their operating hours is from 12.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
