As for the steamed egg is very soft and moist, with some chicken meat, crab meat inside that make it sweet and tasty.

Comes to the coke float ($4.90) , is gassy and love the smooth vanilla ice cream topped on it that is very appetizing and refreshing!

The tempura shrimp tasted amazing after soaking in the deliciously flavoured soup. The fresh udon was also springy and filling. Love the soup base the most!

we got the pumpkin croquette and to replace salmon skin, we had potato croquette this time too.

the interior of these potato had these orange bits that look like carrot. a delicious mash coated in panko and deep fried, it's a lot of yum. i never figured out why one cost double the price of the other though. potato comes in a single serving while the pumpkin comes in a pair and they cost $2.40 each.

And this premium plate of tamago. the tamago was soft and fluffy with its layers. this needs a dab of wasabi for added oomph.

Loving our ichiban dinner date.

I went with my wife to Ichiban Sushi for lunch last Saturday. It was quite crowded when we went even though it was already 1pm. Nonetheless, since there is only two of us, it was easier to get seats and we are seated after 10 minutes. We ordered ala carte instead of the sets as we are more fond of eating the sushis. However, most of the other sushis we got are quite up to standard. In particular, I will recommend "The Peak" sushi which was lobster salad sushi on rice. It is quite novel and we quite enjoyed the taste and presentation of the dish. We also ordered the salmon sashimi which costs $9.50. There are a total of 7 slices and each slice is fresh and sweet. I normally do not like raw food but I thought this was rather nice and something which I will not mind eating again.

This must be one of the few times where the actual order looked better than the picture in the menu.

Fresh slabs of salmon sashimi decorated my bowl of Japanese rice.
The slices of raw salmon were thick and those lines of fat just simply melted in your mouth. Take a small pinch of wasabi and a dab of shoyu with each piece of meat. It would have looked prettier, except that I ordered it without the chilli padi.

Kudos to ichiban for keeping costs down while not compromising on food quality.

Ichiban Sushi definitely has something for everyone's palates. The hotpot menu should not be missed. For black pig pork belly menu, the Kurobuta Kimchi Nabe Set was priced at S$17.90, which I think is value for money. The chilli sauce that compliment the meat is slightly bland. A slightly spicy and sweet combination would be a perfect sauce to the overall meal. Will go back for more.

This is the real deal, served to us raw in a paper hotpot waiting to be boiled to our preferred level of doneness. This set came with a small bowl of teriyaki chicken don, a side of salmon sashimi, chawanmushi and fruits. This was shared by my mum and I. It was a set filling enough for two people on a light lunch option. We also had a serving of the cream horns. One vanilla one chocolate. I love these. Smooth creamy delights encrusted in a flaky pastry shell. MMM!

.

The tamago sushi taste delicious and presented in appealing manner. Chicken Katsu Togi taste abit salty because of the sauces, the whole serving is quite big. Chawamushi taste nice with mushroom, chicken and crab meat inside. Miso soup was abit salty to me but still acceptable. Tori Curry Cheese Wazen, the curry was very delicious with mixture of cheese may sounds weird but really excellent.

overall, if dinning at peak hours got to queue earlier as the queue sometimes can end up like 15-20 minutes waiting time. worth a visit if you haven.

I didn’t count total of how many times I eat Japanese food in this months. Yes, Japanese cuisine is one of my preference food, however I don’t like raw food.I ordered this stone rice bowl, came along with coleslaw. It was served in a stone bowl, garlic fried rice at the bottom, with grilled fish on top. Contrasting textures, as I consumed rice and coleslaw, something crunchy is next to something soft. The portion was okay for me, costed $12.90 before GST and service charges.

My advice is that it should be served chilled. The cake itself was spongy and really soft (even a toothless person could
enjoy). The centre portion is usually my favourite part as the edges tend to be slightly harder. It is also light and airy and
I could have easily finished half of the entire cake.

I have got an urge for sushi when i walked past this outlet after groceries shopping. I picked up a maki roll. It has got the fresh tasting salmon mixture and crunchy cucumber as filling. The japanese rice has got a good consistence of texture. The rolls were coated with a layer of seaweed by the side. I liked what i had tasted and would like to come back for more soon.
