We got the massive 1.2kg slab of meat and we were worried that it would E either undercooked (too thick) or overdone (too thick). But they handled it well and the result is crispy seared exterior with rather tender interior. You can even see the pink! The flavour of the meat is actually enough to not need the pepper sauce on the side. Speaking of sides, I really enjoyed the coleslaw and crunchy potato salad. Their Mac & Cheese is no bad too. Overall an excellent place to get your beef steak fix

Really decent cuts at really value-for-value prices! What's not to like?!?The only drawback is that they run the place like IKEA. Where you have to find your own tables, no reservations, no frills, you queue up to order your food and join another queue to buy your drinks, you go get your own cutlery and then sit down and wait for yummy steaks. But of course there are peaks eating here too. I had their Lemon dill fish set for $6. I thought it was a reasonable price to have grilled fish with potato salad side and mushroom soup. I don't think you can go wrong with grilled fish, it was pretty normal. The sauce was like mayonnaise. The potato salad contains big chucks of sliced potatoes that were not overcooked, so it still retains some crunch.

iSteaks Grillhouse has taken over the former Aston's at H S Eating House @ Serangoon Gardens.
