At Clementi for lunch today and ordered this Roasted Duck Rice. This is one of the best stalls there with awards pasted on the stall and costs $3.50 with the egg added. I had requested a change to white rice. Therefore it taste normal, nothing really special about the rice. The roasted duck is one of the best, it is so soft and chewy, on top of that the skin was very crispy to chew on. I like the egg too.

I ordered the $10 portion of roasted meat and char siew to take away for dinner. The portion given for $10 is not a lot. The roasted meat got crispy skin and tender meat. It is not too fatty. The color of char siew looked a bit dark and tasted a bit sweet but tender. They gave a packet of dark sticky sauce to go with the meat. The sauce actually enhanced the flavor quite well.

I could not decide what to have at the clementi market so I ordered the char siew roast pork rice from lau phay chay. It was my first time trying this stall but the portion turned out a little disappointing. It came in a tiny plate. However it did taste pretty good. The char siew was thinly sliced and it was a little charred on the edges. The char siew was very tender and it was rather sweetish. The roast pork were very tender and tasty. It was very crispy too. They were very generous with their gravy and it was very tasty. The gravy was a little salty but went well with the rice. If the portion was a little more than it will be perfect.
