No joke! You have yet to taste a nice tamago if you have yet to visit marutama. I must say that not outlets may taste similar but this one at united square, is a good one. Take a look at the yolk. Just the look of it makes me feel like swimming in it haha. Good egg with good flavours.

It's not like I've tasted ramen in Japan but the ramen serve here is the best i've tasted so far. The soup base was excellent thought it's slightly oily and they might be a little stingy on the char chiew but that one small piece of char chiew was EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD! It was so soft that it practically melts in your mouth! If not for its chewy noodles and tasty soupbase, I would not have come back again. This place is not a great place to hang out or chill, just a food place for you to taste a go

This place is not a great place to hang out or chill, just a food place for you to taste a good bowl of ramen and leave because the queue is pretty long on weekends or weekday nights and the waiters are pretty impatient and hasty. Service, so-so and ambience? It's a small small restaurant that has a few large tables around, pretty cram I must say. But if you haven't tried a bowl of authentic ramen, go try it..!

Ippudo SG is still the best for me though

Went there or lunch with my cousin. It was a good experience. Taste is fantastic. Love all except the tamago. The tamago is a little bland so we finished only half of it. The ramen are just nice. I kinda like the soup base. As for the gyoza, it’s my favourite. The skin is thin and the fillings is juicy. Must try! Service is quite good. Efficient service crew! Will definitely visit again. it’s my second visit already! Highly recommended!

This store in United Square is the latest addition to the Marutama Ramen chain in Singapore, and is by far the largest in terms of seating capacity. It is also the only 1 located outside the CBD (No ERP) and has decent sized rooms for private gathering. Although Marutama maintains an official "no reservation" policy, you can always call in advance to check if the rooms are available for your party of 8 or above. My family and I have been going back to Marutama (almost exclusively) for our ramen

My family and I have been going back to Marutama (almost exclusively) for our ramen fix ever since we discovered their store at Liang Court 2 years ago. We tried Ippodu and some other new entrants when they appeared but always girate back to the "basketball ramen". The chicken-based soup is unique, as most other ramen shop use pork-bone broth. This makes the soup lighter in taste and I always managed to finish every drop of it.

At $12 a bowl, it is not cheap, but that is the price you pay for the privileng of eating authentic japanese ramen in Singapore...just look around and count the number of Japanese chefs working at this restaurant.

I highly recommend the Yaki Char Siu and Tamago to go with your ramen. Personally, I like the spicy version of this ramen with loads of fried garlic thrown in. This store also has some new menu not available at the other outlets. Worth trying out.

I went to have my lunch at this Jap resturant. It's pretty nice in the sense that the soup is simple, but it's delicous. And they have staff who could communicate in Japanese.. pretty cool.. worth the try.
