Soyabean Ice Cream (cup), $1.80One of my favourite icecreams I turn to, whenever I'm looking for a not-so-guilty icecream indulgence.This time round, it's not as thick and creamy as I remember it to be. I'm not sure if there has been a tweak in recipe, or just the slight difference in consistency between different outlets. This one was less creamy, but slightly stronger soyabean taste. Nonetheless, this lighter version is also just as good as the creamier version.

Bought this Chocolate set at $4.30. It consist of one Ice Blended Chocolate Soy Milk and a Double Chocolate Pancake. Ice Blended Chocolate Soy Milk: This was nice and smooth, has ample chocolate flavor and a hint of soy bean fragrance...slurp! Double Chocolate Pancake: This was my fave. Chocolaty pancake with melted dark chocolate filling. Soft and fluffy on the outside, thick and creamy on the inside...yum yum!

I was quite thirsty that day and I passed by mr bean, so I decided to try the watermelon soyabean milk. A piece of watermelon is blended with soya bean milk, so the watermelon taste was distinct. the drink was not overly sweet, but it didn't taste as nice as papaya soya bean milk, probably because the watermelon wasn't that sweet to begin with. It costs $2, but I would recommend the papaya soya milk, which is more tasty.

This chocolate soya bean ice cream is not a permanent item on the menu. I understand from one of the lady over the counter that it's usually only available during promotions.You can see that it's very smooth, creamy and rich. The portion is quite big for a 2.20 bean curd with 4 rice balls in it.I asked for a mix: 2 peanuts and 2 sesame.The bean curd "syrup" is actually quite sweet and is most probably at the bottom. So with your own preference, you could either mix them together or not at all if you don't want your bean curd to be sweet.The rice balls are big, round, puffy and smooth. I love it alot. I love to order this Bean curd with Tang Yuan, although I do not like the bean curd. I know the bean curd is healthy and all because they use soya bean milk instead of the sugar water.I like the tang yuan. It is very smooth and the tang yaun skin is just right, not too soft and not too hard. I usually order the peanut tang yuan because I do not like the bean paste tang yuan or is it the sesame tang yuan? I usually eat this very I crave tang yuan since shops usually do not sell tang yuans.

After getting some snacks from Old Chang Kee next door, i decided to get a cup of soya bean milk while i was there. There was a queue forming at Mr Bean and i ordered the warm soya bean milk when it was finally my turn!The soya bean milk was thick and rich, and it was also smooth (no pesky bits of sand, etc).It has just the right amount of sweetness for me and i enjoyed the drink very much!

I had expected the bean curd to be smooth like jelly but I am wrong. The bean curd was not smooth, instead it was slightly hard. When you scoop it with the spoon, it will not wobble. So disappointed. The bean curd even with the sugar syrup, it was not too sweet. Just that the texture was not up to standard. However, you can still taste the soya flavour. At times, the bean curb is good and at times not good. The texture of the bean curd has no consistency and it is not just at this outlet.
