Passed by Sun Moulin bakery and these little mochi caught my attention. While waiting for my friend, i toured around the bakery and decided to bring some of the cute little mochi to share with my friend.Here are the flavours: Chocolate, ocha & cheeseCrispy on top, spongy and chewy inside. I will be back to try the other mini buns.

My favourite in this Japanese bakery is their pork bun Piroshiki. Not sure how Piroshiki was made, but it has a combination of different taste just like 水煎包. The outer layer is crispy fried/baked with melted cheese on top. The pork and bamboo shoot filling within it was flavorful and blend into the soft bread.Sun Moulin petite series are one of the best. Nice delicate cakes. Very liberal use of cream. Strawberries were in season during X'mas so they piled on the strawberries. This is their classic strawberry cake but in a different shape for X'mas. Preferred the round shape one to this shape because it is easier to carry. But this shape is good for cutting neat slices and serves more. Tastes the same. The cream is a bit excessive but it makes nice decoration. Love the big juicy fresh sugar dipped strawberries.

Their cakes and buns are very pretty and good to look at but I don't find them to taste any more special than breadtalk. They are more expensive than breadtalk as well. The strawberry cake is very popular but there is nothing special about it. Just sponge with A LOT of cream and some strawberries on top. The red strawberries are what draws people in. Omit the look in the picture cos it doesn't justify the donut. A friend got me this cinnamom donut thinking I like anything that is donut, but not knowing I am not keen on the spice, as usually I am just happy having the normal sugar coated ones. Anyway, didn't get to eat it until many hours later and that is why the donut is in this shape. Bakery shop from japan! It jolly well costs a lot more than ordinary singaporean bakery shop. Much more, since it is at orchard area as well. The bread is normal in my opinion, normal and good. I like bread with hot dog and ham, the saltiness is just amazingly good. I remember doing another review earlier of the cheese cake that reminds of the chinese cake. But it just feels different buying from expensive bakery. I would still prefer normal price bread.

Since I work near Shaw Centre, the nearest bakery shop is Sun Moulin. And since it is a japanese bakery, the price is high. Something which i have repeatedly say, I don't like. But all the breads look delicious though, and expensive. Mostly cost around $2. I bought this cheesecake at $2 too. It tasted like the chinese sweet cake. I think the money is not worth it. I rather buy mac breakfast which cost 2.5 with drinks.

Invited for XMEN: FIRST CLASS movie preview held at Lido and came to this bakery to get something to munch later. Wanted to buy my favorite Sweet Cheese bread but was no where to be found.
