The main reason for liking this famous chicken rice is their chilli. Their chilli has a distinctive spiciness which quite different from most chicken rice stalls. I like my chicken rice chilli to be spicy so the chicken rice from this stall suited me perfectly. Though their chicken is smooth, tender and juicy but still a bit mediocre as most chicken stalls able to achieve that standard. I still feel it is their chilli that made the difference.

I like chicken rice, but vastly prefer the roasted kind.... the steamed stuff just looks so pale and slimy! That said, I was at Maxwell around 3pm on a Wednesday and there was no queue at all, so seemed like the perfect opportunity to try the famous Tian Tian chicken rice!Guess what: I liked it. The meat wasn't slimy at all, but really tender and moist. The rice was slightly oily, but in a yummy way. And the chili - loved it! All chicken rice stalls should copy their chili recipe. I'd lo

Today i tried the famous tian tian chicken rice at maxwell. As i was slightly before the lunch crowd, then were only a few people in front of me. The store is seperated into two units, one for taking orders, and payment, and the other the serving. You are given the choice of either $3, or $3.50. The picture above is the $3.50 version. Every time when I went for lunch at Maxwell Food Center, I always found the queue for Tiantian is the longest beside the one – zhen zhen porridge. So after trying Chicken Rice in Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice which is just few steps away two days ago, I decided to try Chicken Rice again from Tiantian.I can't really tell the difference for these two stalls, they are both good, and especially I like to dip the chicken with the black sauce.

Lunch at Tian Tian was a delight. even though the environment was quite noisy and not as clean which you can expect from a hawker centre. We managed to find a seat from the crazy crowd. I ordered the famous hainanese chicken rice from Tian Tian and they are popular for that. They only sell Steam chicken rice and this is the dish that will test the skills of the cook. The crucial point is how to make the chicken tender. Their steam chicken is really tender and smooth, the texture is fantastic.

It compliments the chicken rice totally.

Went to Maxwell for late lunch and tried Tian Tian because it was the first stall to turn up on Google (there's too much good food to choose from, had to resort to technology lol). Only bai ji is served at Tian Tian. The rice was very fragrant and tasty, not too oily too. The chicken slices were generous and really silky and soft. I don't think its anything really special or "wow" but I am 100% satisfied with this; simple and good quality food. Yummy!

You could easily locate this stall (distinct long queue and takes up 2 stalls). Just try to get seats at the extreme ends of this food centre (end of rows of stalls) as it is significantly cooler there. Though there is a long queue, you do not have to wait very long for your turn. My take on the chicken rice - The chicken meat provided is substantial and rather tender. Best part is that it comes with the skin (I've eaten at many chicken rice stalls which do not provide chicken skin anymore or if they do, it's pathetic!). The rice, however, was a little too oily for my liking (there's a clogging texture to it).

The condiments available are the typical chilli sauce, dark sauce and ginger sauce. There seemed to be too many chilli seeds in the chilli sauce which gave an overall bitterness in the sauce. The dark sauce was ordinary, while the ginger sauce was rather bland. The soup, however, was tasty.

This chicken rice stall does not provide a set meal. So you will need to pay for additional sides such as the oyster sauce vegetables separately.

This is not the best chicken rice I've eaten so far, but I would say it is decent for food centre standards. Note that there are at least 4 other chicken rice stalls nearby but their businesses are significantly not as brisk as this stall is.

There are many good food stalls at Maxwell market, one of the most famous stalls in there food center is the Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice stall. There are especially long queues during lunch time so avoid if possible. When finally got my rice, I was not disappointed, the rice was fragrant and chicken was very tender and cook just right. The chili was good and I have to go for a refill. I can safely say that this is something worth queuing.

TianTian is one of the most famous chicken rice place in SG, and their chicken is amazingly tender and juicy. However, either lunch or dinner time, you may prepare at least 15~25mins waiting in queer. And, they usually run out of chicken before 7pm; therefore, please plan to go there early if you don't want to miss.Note: since it's located in a hawker center, you could get all different types of food there at the same place.

This is probably the most famous Chicken rice in Singapore. No matter which part of the day you come, there is always a constant long queue formed by the locals as well as the tourists.

This is my first time eating at this stall. The chicken was tender and succulent with its juiciness still intact and the nicely fragrance rice was moist and fluffy with a distinct taste of chicken broth. But the chilli was the one that gave it the oomph factor. It was much hotter compared to its competitors with a nice tinge of lime, exactly what i liked.

Somehow, i do not think this is the best Chicken rice that i have ever eaten. I got a personal favorite which i think is nicer than this.

If you have yet to try this big name then perhaps you should give it a try for the sake of comparison.
