The FoodI ordered the Shanghai fragrant rice with chicken chop and veggie. Can also choose minced meat and pork chop version also. The rice is very fragrant hence is called fragrant rice in the menu. The rice has the right texture, not too hard or soft and has other ingredients e.g fried egg. As for the chicken chop, it is deep fried till very crispy on the outside and juiciness of tender meat inside and when combined with the sauce drenched on top, the taste is wonderful ! The Service
As I went on weekday lunchtime hence the wait is still acceptable.

The Ambience
I like the ambience and comfy seats and they also played the chinese pop songs in the restaurant.

The Price
Reasonably priced at $9.90 per set

The FoodI ordered the maggi mee dry noodles with 2 pieces of luncheon meat and sunny side egg and 1 veggie. The noodles are well cooked with springy texture and well-seasoned sauce. I like the luncheon meat the most as it was very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sunny side up eggs are not over-cooked hence the egg yolk still soft and runny. Even though the portion can be quite little but still very satisfied with the taste and quality. The ServiceAs I went on weekday lunchtime

Overall
I will definitely come back again to try all their different dishes and highly recommended to try this!

Milk Tea is definitely one of the favourite drinks for most of us, especially during breakfasts. As for me, I prefer to have it at all hours, when I hungry, bored, energetic and even sleepy. The milk tea at Xin Wang sure is of my favourite choice as milk tea as it is very thick in texture and the evaporated milk used in it is also very generous. They have also used the premium tea leaves to produce their milk tea which make it more fragrant and taste good! Price is quite alright and reasonable

It was around 9pm when we got in to the restaurant, and not many customers were there. However, after ordered the food, it took so long for our food to come. Too long!! We ordered the Chee Cheong Fun ($3.2). The rice roll is slightly hard, not smooth. The sauce is slightly too sweet as well. Stir fried spinach with mushroom ($8.5) is Ok. But I think it is overpriced for that amount of vegetables served.

Good place to chill and have a cup of tea. I guess it’s suitable for anytime of the day. They offer toast, dessert and some other snacks as well. Try to avoid lunch hour though. It’s gonna be very crowded! Didn’t have the chance to try their snacks as i was very full from lunch but their food item look promising. Try for yourself

Always very intrigued by Xin Wang's menu as they sell many combinations of all types of food. This trip I decided to try something new... 1) Borsch Soup - nice! I like the HK style Borsch soup. As nice as Kim Gary's version. 2) Prawn Paste Chicken - the smell of the prawn paste is very strong and kudos to them for not using breast meat. They deboned tight meat and deep fried them till piping hot. So it took the longest to arrive! Last in fact! 3) Curry Ramen - not bad. Ingredients are generous.

The Lamian gives this dish a slight twist as our usual curry noodle comes with white beehoon or the fat yellow noodles.

4) Dry Chilli Noodle with Luncheon Meat & Egg - it looked nicer than it tasted. Not bad tasting but not great either. Very passable.

5) Ying Yong Tea - hubby liked this.

6) Iced Milk Tea - I loved this!!

This is not my MUST go-to place for food but a nice change once I a while lah.

It's my first time visiting this branch. We ordered a noodle with luncheon meat & egg dish for my cousin. There were also some dim sum. I had sweet & sour chicken with spaghetti and my auntie had spicy minced pork & egg over rice. Since there 3 of us, we tried each other dishes and commented on them.

My noodle was served 2 mins after I ordered. I was a little shocked as it's speed.

The look of the dish is okay however when you taste it, it just tastes like our 'Maggie Mie". OMG, I have wasted quite a lot of money for this.

The dim sums are bad especially the siew mai. Please do not order it and the other dim sums are not recommended too.

I also recommend this place for:
Type of Meal : Breakfast, Brunch, Cheap Eat/Budget, Lunch, Dinner, Take Away
Occasion : Large Group, Children/Family, Boys Night Out, Girls Night Out, After Work
Atmosphere : Vibrant/Noisy

One of my favourite dish from Xin Wang Hongkong Cafe which is their guo tie aka pan fried dumpling. The meat are succulent and flavourful. The dumpling skin is shiny and oily on the outer surface. It is really soft and tasty. Since it is pan fried, it can be a little crispy on the sides too. Wonderful dim sum!
