Whether you're alone or with a group of friends, Island Creamery makes a perfect hide-out with its' rather simple furniture and laid-back store concept. Greeted with the typical chalkboard of any ice-cream store, Island creamery boasts of its delicious ice-cream, with home flavours ranging from Milk Tea, pulau hiram, pineapple tart, durian and so forth. For a double scoop of $4.50, the ice-cream is extremely gentle to your pockets; especially if you're a student just looking for a place to chit-c
I ordered Teh Tarik and traditional flavour Pure Vanilla. Teh Tarik was slightly bitter instead of being milky sweet. If you are sensitive to caffeine, this wouldn't be recommended!. Take a closer look at the ice-cream, and you can tell how it melts slightly at the edge, signifying that the ice-cream isn't too frozen or too cold for those with sensitive teeth. In a hot weather like this, everything melts within minutes, but the blasting air-con of Island Creamery defeats our torturous blazing sun. I glanced at my surroundings and was astonished at this photo-filled wall. It makes me wonder how dusty is it, and who would actually care looking at everyone's faces except the person in the picture him/herself. Oh well, what a waste of paper. It's not a great sight accompanying the simple plain furniture, i just wish they could clear the photos off soon! Love the open-concept kitchen the crew wasn't as friendly, looked really grumpy as if they had long hours on their job. i was afraid to try their different flavours because of their murderous look, its' an aura that says 'don't test my patience'. There are outdoor dining places as well.
