Finally found a presentable cake shop in Bugis area after walking around for so long. After looking through the cakes in the display shelf, I decided that the Zesti Cheesecake is the best looking one. There aren't many selections available either. If I didn't remember wrongly, this costs $6.50 a slice. The service is nice and polite at the counter. When I asked for a candle, the staff kindly obliged and wrapped the cake nicely. The service is nice and polite at the counter. When I asked for a candle, the staff kindly obliged and wrapped the cake nicely. As I had to transport the cake for some distance, I asked for an additional paper bag to contain the cake. The staff explained that TCC doesn't have any bag (not sure if it is true) and that the cake carrier is sufficient.
The sponge part of the cake is really light and fluffy. The cream part of the cake is not too cloying. There were also thin layers of the cream, cheese and strawberry between the cake, which I thought was really nice. Though I don't think the cake is too fancy nor big to be priced at beyond $5, it is still quite presentable for a birthday celebration.
