Last birthday celebration of the month, we are going to enjoy half price dining at TCC using my member birthday voucher. We decided on the Bugis outlet as my friend wanted to buy stuffs from Pandora.

It has been a while since we last visited this branch, the restaurant had been through a complete face lift!

As we were all hungry, we placed orders pretty quickly after reading the menus.

Some drink to quench our thirst while waiting for the food to be served. I had the Lychee & Rock Melon Melody, which was sweet and refreshing. My friends picked the Iced Pinktrus Passion Tea, a blend of grapefruit with passion fruit. We have mixed review over this fruity tea probably due to a slight bitter aftertaste from the grapefruit peels, some like it some don't.

Next up were the Soup, Salad and Sides.

Baby Crayfish Salad, fresh greens with chunks of crayfish meat topped with chili mayo dressing and tobiko roe. This was as delish as we remembered it to be.

Spicy Hot Wings, these were passable, no wow factor though. Crispy Soft Shell Crab, I liked this dish better cos of the tangy dip which goes really well with the crab.

My Oven Roasted Spring Chicken, was excellently cooked to perfection, meat was moist, tender and nicely flavored with brown juice. Very good!

My friends had pasta, Seafood Aglio Olio which was an all time favorite dish from TCC, and Clack & Clams Crayfish Pasta, lavished with generous amount of baby crayfish and fresh clams. Both were a hit with their diners.

We were filled to the brim by the time we're done with our main courses. So we decided not to order desserts. Food and service level here had maintained at expected standards. We will be back again!

I recently got to try the Cherry Opera Dome Cake (SGD$7.50) as well. A rich cake with a coarse exterior but velvety smooth interior, oozing chocolately flavor in every bite. What I loved most were the chocolate macaroons mounted on the sides of the dome-shaped cake, with hints of mint flavor to them.

Besides coffee, they have two rather interesting drinks lately as well - namely the Royal Passion A'more (SGD$14.50) - white wine with a refreshing citrus note of yuzu and passionfruit, a zesty drink perfect for a warm evening out.

ordered Wagyu beef pasta at TCC and it was really good! Pasta is filled with sauce and it was complementary to each other! The beef was cooked well too so it was tender and soft. The dessert was awesome too! Chocolate panna cotta was good as it was not too sweet yet the taste lingers in your mouth!

Ribeye Steak $32
I selected medium for the doneness of the beef, and there was just the slightest tinge of red when you slice the meat. Their steak was really really good! It was tender and moist, and the accompanying sauce was really yummy too, slightly sweet. It's supposedly espresso barbeque sauce (as stated on the menu) but don't worry it's not bitter at all. There were also some grilled veg such as baby carrots, long beans and capsicum, and 3 breaded potato cheddar cakes. They were ok, crispy on the outside and mashy on the inside (because of the mashed potato). I couldn't really taste the cheese though.

Passionfruit Yuzu Tea $7.40
I was craving for something light and refreshing and this looked like just the thing I needed. Indeed, the ice tea was really refreshing, just the thing I needed on a hot sunny afternoon. It really helps to quench your thirst. You could also find some yuzu peels and nata de coco in the cup. This drink was great but I wished the yuzu taste could be stronger as I couldn't really taste it.

Overall their food was great and my family members loved what they ordered too. We all felt that their food is way better than what we had expected. Will definitely be back to try the other dishes

TCC is selling the tart at $18.80 during the valid period. It comes in 2 boxes. Each box contains 10 tarts of individual packing.

Devil’s Chocolate Cake presented two distinct layers, sponge portion was just nice while dark chocolate mousse left a little bitter but intense after a short while. I really enjoy it, smooth texture and chocolately flavour. D’tcc Ti Rum-Misu was deliciously infused with Rum and Coffee, exotic creation symbolized their classic. Also the Strawberry Fanstasy, it was beautifully dressed by milky fluffy cream and embraced with premium homemade Vanilla Custard. Both three were my preference, artfully arranged and satisfied our senses.

My friends ordered Zestiny and Perfect Pairing. I like how the cakes are beautifully plated with syrup. It sure adds to the aesthetic appeal of the cakes.

Perfect Pairig is topped with berries (raspberries, blueberries and strawberries) and it adds to the flavour of the dessert. This is because i find that the white portion reminds me of ice cream with its cold and soft consistency so the fruits on top and around it makes it more flavourful.

Next is Zestiny, decorated with meringue pipings and sticks. This too is topped with raspberries and the cake has a light tinge of lemon to it. Refreshing.

Most of the seats in the cafe consist of couches and cushion chairs so it makes for a nice hang out spot with family and frees.

The desserts cost between $6.50-$10 (not yet inclusive of GST and 7% Service charge).

Lastly, we can never forget about the classics! This below is a regular Marble Cheesecake ($6.50), baked true to perfection such that it's golden brown. The rich chocolate base also compliments the dedicated cheesecake taste so you don't get bored of it easily!

This place hardly goes wrong and to think that they have really good service personnel too. So the next time I'm returning I'll make sure I'll try their mains too!

Wow, I didn't expect The Connoisseur Concerto (tcc) to sell mooncakes! I gave them a try and they were surprisingly good. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be good since it wasn't really specializing in this. Nonetheless, the snowskin is really soft and tender, with appropriate thickness. The fillings are pretty good too, especially when I tried the tangerine flavour. It comes with a tangerine chocolate ball inside too. Amazing.

Went to have some TCC food today for lunch (around 2pm). Had a spicy beef brisket baked rice. The portion looked small but I was full after finishing it. Maybe because I put in extra effort to eat slowly. This rice was slightly salty and spicy much like rendang but with cheese. The cheese was quite nice, but could do with more. I love cheese. For people who like things a little spicy and flavourful, this is the dish to get.

I love the salmon pasta from TCC. A friend introduced me to TCC awhile ago and after this first meal I was hooked. The salmon is cooked on the surface but it is slightly raw on the inside. The presentation of the dish is awesome with the fish nicely sliced and with a sunny side up in the centre. The pasta sauce is unique but really tasty. A dish like this costs about $15.

Had the seafood aglio olio at TCC when they had the 1 for 1 promotion. The aglio olio consist of pan fried scallops, prawns and tossed in olive oil. It was only okay standard. The prawns weren't very fresh and I felt the scallops were a tad bit overcooked as it was more mushy than springy. Nothing very memorable about it, but it wasn't bad either. Just quite average.

We ordered Kimchi Prawn Salad ($13) not too bad but my personal feel is that the kimchi taste was not very strong but overall still nice. Ingredients were fresh!

Shrimp Martini ($11.80) is a must order from us when we visit TCC so far so good for this. Mushroom soup ($10) and New England Clam Chowder ($10) was ordered by myself and Pauline respectively. Not much to complain about the soup quite decent. We add on to Potato Wedges ($9.90) too .... yummy when is served hot especially when you are really hungry!

Pauline opt for a Ribeye Steak ($32) and asked for a medium rare to be done for her steak unfortunately they came as a well done for her ... she have to asked for a change as the steak was quite hard after a well done on a pan!

Goh also opt for beef today he ordered Wafu Beef Spaghetti ($20.50) no complain from him so should be good. As for me and Sam both of us ordered Ocean Sur'fin ($23) fish was fresh but kinda small portion but good enough as we ordered lots of side dishes.

After round of main course we ordered more drinks and dessert I asked Goh to try their Dark Devotion ($11.80) cos usually Sam and Pauline love this and was raving about it. Goh love it just that he feel the sponge cake were a little too thick

Ambiance was good .... just that some of their tables and chairs seems like mainly for coffee and dessert used not really dining friendly as it was way too low!
