I've been buying Moon River Cake Shop's breads since young, and this bakery never fails to provide us consumers with freshly baked bread and cakes For breakfast, I decided to have a bread to go with my morning tea to kick start the long day ahead~ With the wide range of breads at affordable prices spread around the shop, I chose the simple bolo bun which cost me only $1.10. Moon River's is much of the 'bready' type compared to other bakery's, and have raisins as fillings instead of the usual butter or char siew..(psps>>Crystal Jade's) which is quite unique and special, yet simple and delicious
This bolo bun's crust is crumbly and not overly sweet, with a hint taste of butter. Perfect for the butter-conscious me! The bread is also fluffy and soft in texture, and the raisins 'grouped' in the centre of the bun is the surprise when you bite into the centre, giving you the sudden explosion of sweetness~hahah
