Oyster Mee Sua Smile Dec 19, 2012

Shihlin Taiwan's Mee Sua is DELICIOUS!!

The thick flavourful gravy together with the slurpy mian xian taste yummy! The oysters given is also fresh and juicy. Though it may be a big portion, you can definitely eat at least 3/4 of the bowl in no time!! (that's what happened to metongue) haha~

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks also sell the Big, Fried Chicken Cutlet that taste somewhat like the actual ones in Taiwan, and other snacks like the cheese crepes and sweet potato fries!! However, my favourite snack would still be the Oyster Mee Suasmile

You should definitely try out this bowl of noodles if you haven't! Price would be $3.50 for one bowl.

Egg Tart Smile Dec 19, 2012

I LOVE EGG TARTS!!tongue Especially KFC's~
The egg tart is served hot, even when i bought back one from the Lot 1 outlet!

Appearance: Caramelised smooth custard baked till the crust turns flaky and the perfect shade of golden brown. Not at all charred at the bottom or sides. Ratio of custard to crust of the egg tart is balanced, not too much custard or crust that you feel sick of itsmile Thumbs up!

Taste: Custard is oh-so-sweet, silky smooth and has a soft eggy texture that makes you want one bite after another~ The above picture proves it all! Tart crust is super flaky!! And not overly buttery or oily, which makes it sooo delicious and not very sinful!

Overall: Highly Recommended for EGG TART LOVERS!! lol Seriously, do try KFC's egg tarts if you haven't! Price is only $1.30, though if you purchase a value meal there, you can buy the egg tart for only $1! Freakin cheap and sooooo totally worth the deliciousness~

Bee Hoon Set A OK Dec 19, 2012
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Food Court

Toast @ Work sells mainly breakfast food such as toast, dim sum (chee cheong fun), or bee hoon. These food usually comes in a value set which is cheaper, but you can also order it without the set meal. They also serve hot beverages like the typical teh, coffee, hot milo, etc.

I ordered the Bee Hoon Set A from Toast @ Work located around the entrance of Food Junction.

Comes with a generous ladleful of fried bee hoon, fried egg, chicken wing, luncheon meat and chilli sauce (i asked the counter person for it).
The beehoon was served not hot at all because it was mass fried and left in the open for the person to serve quickly to any customer. sad I was utterly disappointed with the texture of the beehoon too, cuz it was hard and oily. Can't bear to finish the whole plate..

The fried egg was delicious though, cooked just how I like it to be>soft whites with runny yolk!
Chicken wing was super tiny, hardly any meat inside..Not worth it.
The luncheon meat is normal, taste better than the chicken anyway.

Overall, this set meal, priced at $3.50, is not recommended. You can definitely find something way healthier and cheaper in Food Junction.

Fried Chicken!! Smile Dec 19, 2012   (Related Review)

Craving for KFC's fried chicken because i haven't eaten them in a long time~
Bought their 4 piece chicken box, 2 drumsticks and 2 chicken thighs, both hot and crispy flavour!

I prefer their hot and crispy fried chicken more than their original as you can really taste the crunch of the batter used to coat the skin and the spiciness, but once you start eating the meat, the spiciness starts to fade off.

The chicken meat is succulent and juicy, you can also literally tear bits of meat off the chicken, lol, i forgot to take more pictures to show you cuz i'm toooo busy eating...mad haha

The good thing about KFC's fried chicken is that it is not freakin oily and it stays hot even when you buy it back home. However, it is fried..so try to limit yourselves and eat in moderationsmile

Mixed Rice OK Dec 17, 2012
Categories : Food Court

I love the concept of getting to choose your own dishes to go with your steamed rice! So, whenever I'm at a loss for what to eat, I will always order from the Mixed Rice store in food court.

I ordered:
1) Omelette - Fried to golden brown, aroma is strong and taste alright, abit oily though..
2) Fried Chicken - Skin was slightly crispy, meat texture was not too tough. Not so oily.
3) Braised Eggplant - Chewy, tasted alright, gravy can be given more.
4) Stir-fried Cabbage - Slightly too oily, fried to a certain softness yet retaining its slight crunchyness.

Price for this packed rice comes up to $3.70. Kind of cheap, would try out other dishes by this store someday~
