Char Siew bao are moist, chopped into small fine pieces and together with the sweet tasting red char siew sauce. Abit of fatty meat can be seen but this add on to the fragrance from a Char Siew Bao!

Although one Deep fried Yam puff just enough enough for 2 to share, I would say this is heavenly. Deep fried with flaky thin crust of pastry at the exterior with light taste of yam paste oozed out as we bite on it. Wrapped with sweet char siew meat in the core and with a second layer as yam paste and the third the crispy outlook. Yammy!

The luring Chicken Glutinous Rice (Lo Mai Kai) was placed before me, also tastes different from the normal mai kai I got from Sheng Siong. Not as peppery as I thought (phew!), and on the contrast,

Big Chicken Pau has given me a different aspect on most of the chicken bun. Minced chicken meat are seen commonly in most of the chicken bun but in Tiong Bahru Pau, what I received was a big full chunk of chicken meat marinated deep in taste with fragrance sweet sauce all over it, encased by white soft & tender pau skin!

Service
Workers are seen in the kitchen with their hands fully occupied with the dim sums. Tiong Bahru dim sums are delicately hand made and served. No wonder its fresh and tasty.

Ambience
It seems like the coffee shop had been revamped. Very spacious with new furniture and wall fittings. A definite quiet place to enjoy great hand made dim sum on the spot!

Price
Standards have pretty matched most our taste buds with cost-saving alternative to dine-in in a neighborhood estate.

Recommendation / Tips
Love the way they present to their customer that their food is fresh by having workers to produce & hand-made the dim sum right in the kitchen, openly. Having said this, some of their dim sums are unavailable, if you want to enjoy more of their great stuff, fasten your footsteps.!
