In 1940s, the world was at war and in this case chaos was filled everywhere. The axis powers were dominating and etc... Ok wait up... lets talk about food!

As you take a walk into the restaurant, you will experience a very nostalgic feel to this place. This place serves American cuisine. If you think western cuisine and American cuisine is the same then il have to say that you need to know the difference. For example... chinese cuisine has chicken rice and so does malay cuisine but they have their own style...

I ordered the dan burger with fries for their lunch.. in which i requested to serve it medium with swiss cheese! Wow... very tasty.. the meat cuts nicely and the blood is just nice... The cheese is light but tasty not too salty... if i am not wrong i tasted onions really juicy i would say.

They have amazing entrees such as Steaks (Striploin, Tenderloin, T-Bone, Ribeye), normal entrees like fish and chips, salads and soups..

The menu will also indicate that they serve american portions... For me it isnt so much so... but if you cant eat then beware...

Next, we ordered the appetizer. For those of you who do not know what to order as the appetizer, you can try the Dan Sampler. It consists of buffalo wings (pretty self explanatory served with cream cheese), potato skins (potato shells with spring onion, sour cream and bacon bits) and i cant rmb the last dish. The blue dish dressing is simply fantastic. A must try!

Over at Dan Ryans... one of the main important features in this restaurant are their drinks.

There are at least 14 kinds of beers in this restaurant. Tetley's, Stella Artois, Hoegarden, Carlsberg, Henieken, Miller Lite, Miller Genuine Draft, Budweiser, Tiger and i dont know if they have the Moose beer from Canada anymore.

They also have a mixture of cocktails and mocktails available such as shirley temple, i cant really remember the rest of the stuff from this place.

Furthermore, they also have free flow of soft drinks. There are various soft drinks in this place because of the American culture of the restaurant. They have Pepsi, Sprite, Root Beer, Club soda, then they have the drinks you wouldnt normally find in all restaurants. They have Diet Pepsi, Dr Pepper served with 1 cherry and Diet Dr pepper with 2 cherries. Other drinks also include milkshakes etc.

OK now to the 40s part. This is to do with the ambience.. They follow the 1940s Chicago lifestyle.

Swing was a big part of the 40s with that being its top 40s back then. Accompanied by a diner style attitude this place is really really awesome if you are down for this stuff. They have the booth seats to make you feel as if it was the real 40s.

Apart from that they also have like 40s pictures of famous criminals and the 40s train system that rides above the bar.

I hope all this helps for all the diners who are wanting to go to this place.

You can take bus 36, drop at four seasons hotel and then you will be able to see the place. There are only 5 outlets in the world. So Singapore is very lucky to have them.
