FoodAfter tasting their branch couple of weeks back, i finally get a chance to return to the first shop I had patronized. Price had been altered since the last round I had visited, price from big to small at S$6.00 / S$5.00 / S$4.00 respectively.Like the usual, we were given a number tag and about 30 minutes after ordering our food came.This is the big portion version with 3 prawns, 3 fish balls and of course more interesting than the smaller size ones. Like the usual, we were given a number tag and about 30 minutes after ordering our food came.
This is the big portion version with 3 prawns, 3 fish balls and of course more interesting than the smaller size ones.
Wet tissues were given to diners with Jln Tua Kong name imprint on them. This is the small version of mee pok and no prawn were added. Although I prefer this to their branch (somewhere located at coffeeshop nearby), I felt that the standards had dropped drastically and price is no longer worth the wait and noodle. Noodles are moist but the soup & food tasted bland this round. I can no longer reminisce the old school days time over a hot bowl of Bah Chor Mee.
ServiceWell known for its long waiting time, this is no deterence to their faithful supporters. Tables and tables are filled up in the coffeeshop.
Ambience
Too crowded, parking and seatings are usually my considerations before going there.
Price
The portions and pricing are too pricy to determine such a bowl of Bah Chor Mee. Although Lau Lim has its own style in the bowl of bah chor mee, we can better portions and value worth the money else where.
Recommendations / Tips
They do offer Yong Tau Fu, while waiting for the mee pok customers may try their YTF as starters.
