I've heard about how good the food served at Oriole Cafe is. Tempted to try it out, we decided to give it a shot. I tried my friend's fish and chips. However, it turned out so-so only. Perhaps we had too high expectations after hearing several good reviews about it. Also, their service was disappointing. I carried a drink from outside which I had not finished, into their cafe. All of my friends ordered food and drink. Yet their staff kept on coming up to me one after another to tell me no outsid

I've heard about how good the food served at Oriole Cafe is. Tempted to try it out, we decided to give it a shot. I tried my friend's fish and chips. However, it turned out so-so only. Perhaps we had too high expectations after hearing several good reviews about it. Also, their service was disappointing. I carried a drink from outside which I had not finished, into their cafe. All of my friends ordered food and drink. Yet their staff kept on coming up to me one after another to tell me no outside drinks allowed. I was in the midst of conversation with my friends for a catch up and it was quite ridiculous to walk outside to find a dustbin to throw the drink away, the drink which I was not even sipping in their Cafe. It wasnt a good experience, and was quite embarrassing actually. I dont think i will ever frequent Oriole Cafe again.
