Ban Chai OK Mar 24, 2011

Ban Chai means side dish. You know how korean food always comes with kimchi and anchovies. Yes, those are the ban chai. Many koreans make their own combine it with rice and its a meal settled! What amaze me here is that they serve a very interesting ban chai other than the usual. SEAWEEDDDD! Its the non fried kind and very different from japanese seaweed if you have tasted it before. Mix it with rice and its heavenly!

KOREAN PANCAKES OK Mar 24, 2011
Categories : Korean | Food Court | Brunch

As I've posted in another review, korean pancakes are delicious. It is different from the western pancakes that are made of flour and egg. Korean pancakes have a wide variety. Kimchi pancakes, cucumber pancakes, leek pancakes, sweet potatoes pancake and a never ending list. They contain mainly the main ingredient (kimchi, cucumber, etc) with egg and flour. Served together with a sauce. However, this stall's pancake isn't that good. Sauce is rather tasteless and the pancakes are not crispy like it should.

BBQ WITHOUT KIMCHI? Smile Mar 24, 2011
Categories : Korean | Food Court

This korean place not only sells the typical korean dishes like kimchi chigae and bibimbap, it also provides korean bbq from pork to chicken and beef for you to choose from. Of course for every kind of poultry, they have different parts for example, the pork ribs will cause you a little more. I would say the seasoning is not bad. But the thing i love most here is the kimchi! Its not too sour nor salty rather a little sweet. A very refreshing taste. Clears the oilyness of bbq food. Yums!

Bibimbap is a very famous korean dish in Singapore. And with the modification of Singaporeans due to the high cost of stone bowl, we have the one in plastic bowl too!! But myself definitely prefer the stone bowl. Its nicer the traditional way. Bibimbap is simply a mixture of rice with ingredients that you can choose yourself. Plus the korean chilli sauce. Everything is perfect! Try the bibimbap here! I wouldn't say its traditional and as nice as the one i had in Korean but its good in its own way!

Have you ever have a crave for korean food after seeing it the korean shows from the television or the internet?
I definitely have. I saw them cooking pancakes! And decided to make some myself since its so simple, but no. I failed terribly. It turned out mushy and all. Well its not the same for the pancakes in this stall. I totally fell in love with it after trying it once. Delicious! Must try. Its crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. Cooked with some vege, i assume leek. And served with a sauce to dip on. Yums!
