Went to The Manhattan Pizza Co. for dinner with my friends last night and got the Specialty Combo set which included one huge size of pizza and a drink. The pizza serving is really huge here and will definitely be filling for one. Free flow of parmesan cheese and chili flakes! Crust was just right, not too thick or not too thin and the serving of chicken on the pizza was generous enough. Only mildly spicy so I had to add lots of chilli flakes for myself because I personally take a lot of spice, otherwise my other friend who also ordered this flavour found it rather savoury on its own. Also available in a huge whole pizza set where you can pick two flavours and share with a group of friends! Buffalo wings are available for add-ons and looked really tempting however I was not particularly hungry thus did not order it. Definitely worth a try!

PS: Very friendly staff. Cashier/waiter was very caring, cook was smiling and thanked us for visiting.

My go-to dish whenever I visit Donguri Restaurant at the Japanese Association. This was two servings and because it was New Year's Day, very little people were there and they had extra food left so we had an extra large portion. Their sashimi freshness defers on different days, sometimes it's really sweet and sometimes the fish smell still lingers. However, still of superior quality and texture. Try their salmon salad because it's worth it and servings are quite generous too! A new item on their menu, the sea salt ice cream is a must try! Not the same as sea-salt caramel which we eat at other restaurants all the time. This is pure sea salt and they only have one tub per day. Ask for it to be reserved once you enter the restaurant if you intend to try it before it's all gone! the day that I went, there was a guy who bought the entire tub to be taken away and they only had a little bit left, probably from the previous day.

One of my favourite go-to restaurants whenever my family and I have no idea what to eat because not only do they provide Japanese food, they now have fusion food in their newly-renovated restaurant! Membership required though.

Another cupcake treat from my other friend for my birthday today. Have never tried twelve cupcakes before and personally think it is over-rated and overpriced. As a person who bakes, I would say the presentation was the selling point of the cupcake and the taste of the cupcakes are just normal and not impactful. Not a fan of cream cheese and wouldn't say this one managed to change my preference, but a not bad choice of topping for a red velvet cupcake. Personally would not return to buy one for myself as I am not a fan of eating baked goods, more of a fan of making them!

Was given this Valentine's cake by my friend for my birthday as it falls on the same day and I must say I was pretty impressed by the taste and texture of the cake! Never really had a good impression of Polar puffs cakes because tried it once many years ago and didn't like it but this tasted not bad. If you're a fan of chocolate mousse and nuts, this cake is the one to try. The mousse isn't as airy as most mousse cakes out there and have a really rich taste yet bubbly enough texture. Thick layer of chocolate on the top of the cake complements the whole texture very well. Worth a try although it is rather pricey for a small piece of cake.

Took a trip down to Bugis Junction for my lunch time today and not particularly craving anything, the photos at I <3 Taimei caught my eyes and having heard rave reviews about their food and bubble tea, decided to give it a try! Tried the lemon BBQ chicken and was surprisingly good! The taste of the BBQ was strong enough and the subtle zest from the lemon made it even more refreshing. Chicken was tender and succulent and with a mild spice to it. I would definitely come back for more next time!
