Goobycakes OK Jul 31, 2014

Categories : Bakery | Desserts and Cakes

Decided to try Goobycakes since it's near school and they have student discount on Tuesday!

Goobycakes:
170 Upper Bukit Timah Road, #04-19, Bukit Timah Shopping Centre
Singapore, Singapore 588179

When we reached the place, I thought we went to the wrong place. I'm serious. Who will thought that there's actually one cupcake shop located here??!! But there is it, Goobycakes. The shop is really small, (I totally meant it when I said it's small) it's as close as tiny. 3 people inside the shop is already consider "crowded". It's THIS small. But it's decorated pretty nicely.

Ordered Red velvet cupcakes and chocolate cause they are only left with these lol. I guessed we went pretty late and they have limited stock. Tasted pretty normal like any other cupcake but just a bit smaller in size as compared to other cupcakes. Love the cream cheese frosting though. I only find it worth cause we had student discount, but if it's normal price ($3), I don't think I would want it (it's just small)...

For full review and more updates: http://sszeki.blogspot.sg/2013/10/siam-kitchen.html

Got a chance to have food tasting in this restaurant and I must say I love it a lot. The food and services are good and I do hope to visit them again.
There are two dishes that I like the most:

1st dish will be this Siam grill combo platter - $24.90. I don't really like seafood and thus I didn't tried the seafood there but the others are pretty good.

2nd dish will be Grill herbs spring chicken - $14.90, grilled chicken always tasted so good and so does this. Although is grilled, they didn't overcooked it and the chicken is still so yummy and soft (the chicken meat).

Recommended Dish(es):  Grill herbs spring chicken

Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant OK Jul 03, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Shanghainese | Dim Sum

How could one simply not eat the steamed buns when they visit Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant? As said from the name itself, they are famous for its steamed buns. Unlike those usual pork steamed buns (even though this has pork inside also), they comes with crab roe! It will be a good news for seafood lovers as it is a good combination between crab roe and pork for the steamed buns. ($13.80 for 6)

If you didn't get enough of the steamed buns or crab roe, why not try the King Sized NanXiang Crab Roe Steamed Soup Bun $7.80? It has crab roe inside, (it has almost crab roe for everything). Be extra careful not to burn yourself when drinking the soup out from the straw. It is burning hot!! shocked Also, the ingredients inside are edible, so don't worry for not being able to try anything.

Last but not least, something which I would recommend is the Crab Roe "Lion Head" $13.80 (3 pcs) (YES, crab roe again). Don't worry, there isn't any lion meat inside so feel free to eat as many as you want and not to worry about it.The gravy was the plus point for this dish.

Do try out their store smile

Everything With Fries OK May 22, 2013
Categories : Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

Managed to try out the different dished EwF got to offer in just a day smile
Firstly we started off with The one egg soup, as the name is self explainable (it's really made up of an egg only!) I personally like the fried egg on top, otherwise the soup is too creamy for me :/

The second dish is the skinny wings, where they sort of separate the usual wings into two, and now you're eating only one part of it. Which sort of makes you feel better and skinny after eating? It was not bad as they fried the wings till just nice and it's yummy smile

Wild NZ King Salmon was the third dish, salmon is cooked just right. Crispy on top and soft at the bottom. Nice combination. I personally did not like the garlic fries that come with it though :/

Char-Grilled Char Siew! Didn't know Char Siew can come hand in hand with the fries. The Char Siew tasted different as compared to those that you usually tasted at chicken rice store. But it's quite nice smile Just that it's a bit hard to cut and chew.

The last dish is my all time favourite ;) Tandoori Chicken Sandwich!! The best dish in EwF, bread is soft, chicken is perfect with the sauce. This is a must try when you dine in EwF smile chopstick

MOF @ Jurong Point OK Apr 04, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Desserts and Cakes | Sushi/Sashimi

Virgin try at MOF @ Jurong Point the other day with my friends because I heard about the good comments from others. Can't really decide on the food to choose from because they have great varieties! Ended up with ramen and sushi (but they also have western food available)
Chicken Tan Tan Ramen

Chicken Tan Tan Ramen

I ordered the chicken tan tan ramen and find it quite okay. However the egg is quite nice! It's soft and melts instantly in your mouth. But to my disappointment that it's not spicy enough (not a bit of spiciness) when the menu noted that it's spicy. Chicken was kinda little in the serving and it's so soft that it doesn't taste nice sad

Ice cream looks so different from the picture. It turns out to be kinda little in the serving. They served in such a small cup and the pricing is quite expensive sad

After the meal I am still not the full and satisfied with my meal :/
P/S their services is really good though, they're always serving you with a smile and attend to you quickly smile
