Platypus Kitchen Smile Jun 17, 2013

Categories : Italian | Middle Eastern/Mediterranean | Pasta

Happened to dine at Platypus Kitchen at bugis and was so happy that there's actually such restaurant in bugis smile Atmosphere and services are great mad

The drinks we got are actually beer but they taste better because of the fruits inside. I personally isn't a fan of beer but this seems so refreshing smile [Momo-Lychee Ale & Smith’s ale]

The best dish in the restaurant will none other than truffle fries where real truffle are served with it. I like how the fries are made and with no strong truffle oil smell (which I personally hated it very much). The fries comes in a cute shape and so soft!!

Squid-ink Scall all all ops Ragout is something you shouldn't miss and it actually tasted so yum *drools*

How could you not end all the good food with a dessert? Why not try Iced sea salt caramel which has popping candies inside which makes you pop your food while eating it. I was having so much fun eating my dessert!

Everything With Fries OK May 22, 2013
Categories : Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

Managed to try out the different dished EwF got to offer in just a day smile
Firstly we started off with The one egg soup, as the name is self explainable (it's really made up of an egg only!) I personally like the fried egg on top, otherwise the soup is too creamy for me :/

The second dish is the skinny wings, where they sort of separate the usual wings into two, and now you're eating only one part of it. Which sort of makes you feel better and skinny after eating? It was not bad as they fried the wings till just nice and it's yummy smile

Wild NZ King Salmon was the third dish, salmon is cooked just right. Crispy on top and soft at the bottom. Nice combination. I personally did not like the garlic fries that come with it though :/

Char-Grilled Char Siew! Didn't know Char Siew can come hand in hand with the fries. The Char Siew tasted different as compared to those that you usually tasted at chicken rice store. But it's quite nice smile Just that it's a bit hard to cut and chew.

The last dish is my all time favourite ;) Tandoori Chicken Sandwich!! The best dish in EwF, bread is soft, chicken is perfect with the sauce. This is a must try when you dine in EwF smile chopstick

The Naked Fish Shoppe Smile May 16, 2013
Categories : Seafood

The Naked Fish Shoppe has an unique name that catches everyone attention almost immediately. I went there last week and I pretty much like the atmosphere there. Being located at Yio Chu Kang, it's just a 5-10 mins walk from the mrt station. The staffs there are very friendly too lol

I ordered the mushroom soup. Which tasted quite different from the usual creamy type and I kinda like this new taste of mushroom soup. Love the idea of serving with bread as the bowl and I enjoyed eating the 'bowl' (the bread shaped bowl). tongue

For the main course, I ordered Deep Sea Premium Grade Barramundi Fish Fillet – served with Lemon Butter Sauce (Salmon). I must say the mash potato was pretty yummy, especially when it comes with the black pepper sauce! It tasted so good that I wished I had more of it. The fish was also pretty delicious as it's crispy and soft at the same time. However the vegetable will need to improve on it. Overall it's really nice experience and I enjoyed myself eating there. Do try out their food! chopstick

MOF @ Jurong Point OK Apr 04, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Desserts and Cakes | Sushi/Sashimi

Virgin try at MOF @ Jurong Point the other day with my friends because I heard about the good comments from others. Can't really decide on the food to choose from because they have great varieties! Ended up with ramen and sushi (but they also have western food available)
Chicken Tan Tan Ramen

Chicken Tan Tan Ramen

I ordered the chicken tan tan ramen and find it quite okay. However the egg is quite nice! It's soft and melts instantly in your mouth. But to my disappointment that it's not spicy enough (not a bit of spiciness) when the menu noted that it's spicy. Chicken was kinda little in the serving and it's so soft that it doesn't taste nice sad

Ice cream looks so different from the picture. It turns out to be kinda little in the serving. They served in such a small cup and the pricing is quite expensive sad

After the meal I am still not the full and satisfied with my meal :/
P/S their services is really good though, they're always serving you with a smile and attend to you quickly smile

Manhattan fish market Smile Apr 03, 2013
Categories : American | Seafood | Halal | Kids-Friendly

Had Manhattan fish market to celebrate my friend's birthday the other day and was so surprised by the food they served. I always have the mindset that the fish they served outside (especially fried ones) are not so nice thus I won't even give it a try. But since we were having one for one, might as well try it! tongue

The grilled glory dory is awesome and I wished I could have more. Even though the rice has a strong garlic taste, it still tasted good! The best part will be the chili sauce that comes with it, spicy yet sour. I finished the whole chili sauce wanting more. (P/S it tasted like THAI chili sauce).

The Manhattan Fish 'n Chips ~ Dory tasted like any other fish n chips though but the fries is really good. I personally prefer soft fries like this. I like how their food is so different as compared to other places smile lol chopstick
