bubble tea Smile Sep 10, 2012

This is my first time trying the bubble tea from eskimo and i chose the hazelnut milk tea that costs $2.90. I was surprised that it tasted so good and it was actually comparable to koi in fact! The sugar level that i got was 25% and it was not too sweet for me too. But i felt that the pearls was very disappointing as it was quite hard. Although it was lunch time but the queue moves very fast and you are able to get your drink in 5 mins.

not too bad Smile Aug 20, 2012

Ordered the stir fried spicy beef with basil leaves with rice and the prawn toast. I love the prawn toast but i wish they would give more than 4 pieces. It costs $7.90 for that and it is really crispy and when it is dipped with the sweet thai chili sauce, it makes a great combination. Definitely a must order when at thai express. The stir fried beef with basil leaves was really spicy and the meat was kind of tough too. I would not order that next time as i find that it is too spicy for me. Overall service was lacking and sometimes it takes quite long to get the attention of the service staff too.

char siew pau Smile Aug 20, 2012

Have always enjoyed the famous pau from tiong bahru pau. I usually would order the usual char siew pau as i like how the pau has generous fillings of char siew in it and there is an option of the small or the large pau but i prefer the small pau. The skin of the pau is not too thick and that makes it a bonus point as well. It costs $0.90 for one. Didn't manage to get the char siew sou this time but the next time i would definitely get it as well.

reasonable pricing korean food Smile Aug 20, 2012

Was here on a weekday evening and the queue was already long but not to worry the queue definitely moves rather fast. As i have eaten before their hot plate chicken set last time, this time i decided to go for the spicy chicken soup. It was a rather huge bowl of soup and there was a lot of ingredients in it such as vegetables, chicken, tofu, egg etc. For the price of it i think it is really reasonable and definitely filling. There is also an option of choosing your side dish. You can get the anchovies or the kimchi. I chose the kimchi but i did not eat it as i am not a fan of kimchi. The potato pancake here is super nice.

great Smile Aug 20, 2012

Finally managed to try the fish ball noodles from this stall that has won awards from magazine etc. Was here on a saturday afternoon so there wasn't any queue. I ordered the small bowl of bak chor mee which costs $3.80 but the ingredients was very little. I like their handmade fishballs as the texture of it was good and also very chewy. There was also an option of whether you would like the medium

or the large bowl. I would definitely go back to try this next time but i will opt for the medium bowl as i think that would be more filling for me
