fries  Smile Oct 16, 2012

I love taimei is quite interesting as they actually named their set meal after famous celebrities in taiwan like example selina, jolin etc. I ordered the fries and also their chicken set. But i did not really like the chicken as it is quite soggy and although the chicken are in huge chunks, it is not very nice. The fries on the other hand was great. The pearl milk tea was also not too bad although i would still prefer koi's one, but their pearls are actually quite

chewy and nice.

oyster mee sua Smile Oct 16, 2012

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks mee sua is always where i would go to if i want to eat mee sua. I would always ask them to do away with the oysters as i do not like eating oysters. It also comes with some shredded chicken on top of it. Although the portion is not exactly a lot, so it is also a good choice for afternoon snack. The gravy is also great and goes well with the mee sua. When paired with the chili it taste even better!

la mian Smile Oct 16, 2012

Everytime i am at din tai fung i would definitely order their fried rice as it is their specialty. But this time round i thought i should try something new and decided on the hot and sour soup based la mian. It was really great as it is just nice and is not too sourish. The la mian was very smooth and the portion is also quite big. Definitely filling enough for one person. Service was also great at the outlet and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive.

you mian Smile Oct 16, 2012

Was looking for something filling and below the price of $4 for lunch as i am on a budget, thus i decided to go ahead and order the you mian from this stall as it is only at $3.80. As i went around 3 plus in the afternoon hence there is no queue at all. The you mian was great and flavourful. When i requested the lady who was preparing my noodles for more vegetables, she was also willing to give it to me which i feel that it is quite nice of her as some stall owners might not be willing to do so.

lor mee Smile Oct 16, 2012

As i saw a long queue for this lor mee stall i decided to give it a try. The stall is run by an elderly couple and the auntie is quite nice too. They have two different pricing which is $2 and $3. I like that the gravy is not too thick and it is just nice and the ingredients they give are also quite filling with the noodles as well. The stall is quite popular and so you might have to queue for around 15 minutes during lunch time but it is worth the wait i feel.
