Needless me to say, foster is all well known for its steak.

Me and bf ordered the following for our romantic dinner here:
1)tossed caesar salad ($12.50)
2)ham omelette ($9)
3)Set dinner ($39)
4)lime juice ($7.50)

For the Set Dinner, we had for the main, a 'Tenderloin Steak' - served with king abalone mushroom & black pepper sauce. The steak was medium well. It's the best steak i've ever eaten. Tender and juicy which comes from a small yet thick piece.

Am missing the steak already. Definitely a great place for a quiet romantic dinner with your loved ones.

We were lucky to have a live singer performing that night. smile

crispy, tender & juicy dim sums Smile Dec 22, 2010

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Hotel | Dim Sum | Seafood

I had a great dim sum experience here for a relative's bday celebration. It was a buffet, hence we ordered as much as we could and really 'pig' it out with the widespread of dimsums!! smile

The egg tarts came in 'mini' size - (a lil smaller than the palm) and it tasted crispy on the outside and fluffy within. Love it!

I also ate some custard buns, they tasted great too.

Roasted Pork is a must-have for chinese celebrations (esp birthdays). When i had my first bite, i was 'WOW' by the combined texture of the skin(crispy), meat(tender) & fats(juicy).

It was a bday celebration for 60th. Hence we also had a big plate of longevity buns (寿桃) on our dining table. It came with many small buns and a giant one!! smile I love eating these buns because the lotus paste fillings are sweet.

I believe this restaurant will serve as a good choice for reunion dinner for CNY 2011! smile

I love Pau (buns) totally! Smile Dec 17, 2010

Categories : Singaporean Chinese

Normally, i will buy a pau from kopitiam's drink stall for a quick fix breakfast. However, if u happen to by pass this store, do not miss buying their pau and other chinese pastries!! I tried the chicken pie and chicken egg pie for the first time and i'm actually craving for them as i'm typing away. The bun is nicely steamed and hence the skin is fluffy like cotton. The fragrance of the chicken is well contained inside the pau, so when you bite deeper into the pau, a flavourful taste will unleash itself to your tastebuds. Nice!

A Succulent Dinner~ Smile Nov 19, 2010

It was my first visit to this European style restaurant located along Pasir Panjang road. Right here, you can have a wide selection of wines to pair with your food. Me and Bf got ourselves a glass of house wine. For my main, I ordered Succulent & Juicy Marinated Lamb Shoulder Rack served with lime butter and some mushrooms & cucumbers. I finished most of the lamb without the lime butter cuz i find that the lime taste is overpowering the lamb. Anyway, i must say that the lamb is tender, succulent and tasty! We also ordered steak fries for our side dish. It was served hot and crispy! Dipping the fries with cheesy sauce makes it even better. That's the unique point about this bistro. Even the simplest dish is prepared with thoughts. Don't miss ordering the 'soup of the day' that comes with garlic breads. The breads are fluffy and soft within.

Desserts are not listed on the menu, but don't miss ordering it directly from the waiter. We had a whooping hot brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Simply sweet and delicious!

Romantic dinner with friends Smile Feb 14, 2011

I've heard so much about this place that i know i have to try it!

It was a dinner meetup with friends and I didnt know that the cafe is situated quite far from the main road. Me and girl-friend took a cab inside and the small road that leads from main road to the cafe was dark (no lights)! A great suggestions to those who wanna come at night - arrange ur own transport, or ask the staffs to help you call for a cab.(they did it for us)

3 of us ordered the following:
1)Banger and Mash ($20)
2)Choc Straw Tart ($8)
3)House Red Wine ($11)
4)Roast Black Cod ($27)
5)Scallop Risotto ($23)
6) Seasoned Fries ($7)

I had the scallop risotto. It was great texture and not too dry. Love how the cheese melts in my mouth! Scallops were huge and fulfilling. It compliments well with the cheese.
We all had a great dinner there.

I'll be back for it's BRUNCH! Looks so yummy from the other reviews here on OpenRice.com!!
