Noodles in an old Coffeeshop OK Dec 20, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Coffeeshop

It was my 2nd visit here. Me and 2 friends seemed to over too much for our brunch. hehe! We ordered 3 sets of breakfast (each set consists of 2 eggs, 1 cup of milo, 2 pcs & breads - $2.90). On top of that, each of us ordered a bowl of noodles. Although this coffeeshop is quite run down, the taste of the food is still acceptable. The bowl of noodles just cost $2.50 each which is very worthy for its portion. Somehow or rather, eating at this old coffeeshop just gives reminisce back in the 90s.

Dining in the Zoo! Smile Dec 20, 2010
Categories : Singaporean | Restaurant | Brunch | Kids-Friendly

Ah Meng is highly remembered by its supporters & zoo lovers. There’s even a restaurant named after him!! Right at the entrance, there is a display of all the pics Ah Meng has taken at important facades in his life. I really like this whole concept of ‘Ah Meng’… it’s a good way to remember Ah Meng and the joy he has brought to many.

Me and Bf were waiting for the 'Splash' show which happened at 5pm, hence we decided to try out the meatball spaghetti. It tasted great especially after our walk around the whole zoo. We were quite hungry and snatched to finish the whole plate! The meatballs were chunky and not overly cooked. We didnt expect to find such a good plate of spaghetti in the Zoo!

Looking for a place to chill by Changi Beach? This may be the perfect place for you if you happen to be near by! However when seated down at the non-smoker area, there was this guy who spoke very loudly on the phone. Hence, me and family shifted to the smoker area. We ordered some cocktails together with some snacks (wedges & chicken wings). They tasted great! Although the hygience factor may not be high, this place is still consider a great place to chill out by the beach.

The Weirdest Tiramisu here..  Smile Dec 19, 2010

Categories : Fusion | Desserts and Cakes | Pasta | Halal

but i love the 'Chocolate Indulgence' cake here! It is uber sweet and define what a rich chocolate cake is all about. Guess you can only get to find good chocolate cakes here. I find that the Tiramisu cake here tasted more like a sponge cake rather than the typical kind that i like. Other than the cakes, we also had a cup of 3 scoops ice cream. It was good and value for money.

Bet i'll be trying out the cheese cake next time i visit secret recipe!

Sweet Crusted Macarons! Smile Nov 27, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery

This was my first time eating macarons. I bought a packet of 6s that costs $10. Each pc is $1.80. I ate the pink, brown and green color. Oh, just a tip. After i bought back home, i placed in the freezer for about 15mins before i eat it. The pink one tasted like plum (but actually its strawberry!), the brown one is chocolate while the green one is macha (green tea). They tasted great when chilled with a smooth texture on the outside and airy within. I believe a better quality of macarons will practically melt in your mouth when you bite it. I have no idea why macarons are quite expensive though. I'm always greedy for a bigger portion when it comes to dessert.
