Breakfast at KPO! Smile Nov 19, 2010
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Bars/Lounges | Restaurant | Steaks and Grills

I came here quite a few times for their breakfast during noon time. This is because they serve all day breakfast! Kudos to late breakfasts for weekends! For drivers out there, they do have a valet service right outside the bar but it costs quite a bit.

I bet this place is a great place to chill towards the night as i can see people sitting by the bar counter with some beers even in the afternoon.

Anyway, i recommend their breakfast menu as the portion is generous and it tastes great! (The toast, sunny side-ups & the omelette especially!)

If you are ordering 2 drinks and 2 breakfast dishes, you can expect the whole bill to cost around $30-$40.

Cosy & Casual Japanese Dining Smile Nov 17, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Kids-Friendly

I visited this place a few times as this is a very good place for cheap casual japanese dining. There's a variety of choices with a no. of stalls there such as tempura ramen, the standard kinds of sushi, fried omelette noodle, gyoza, seaweed fries, and Fruit Paradise!!

My standard order would be Tempura Ramen, Gyoza and Seaweed Fries. And if i still have room for some desserts, i wont hestitate to get myself a 'banana chocolate fruit cake' from Fruit Paradise!

Too bad Bf has shifted his house at pasir ris. I would wish to visit this restaurant if it has another branch in the west! Even my hairstylist (in bukit batok) was asking if this restaurant has another outlet in the west!

Please fulfill our wish and open another branch in the west for your supporters!! smile

Looking for a quick fix yet healthy meal to be delivered right to your doorstep?

The Diet Butler knows how to serve it better. Newly launched in August, its founder Owen Chong believes that healthy living equates healthy eating. That’s how he conceptualized the art of using fresh ingredients and fruits into delicious gourmet meals from cuisines like Chinese, Italian and American.

The unique thing about The Diet Butler is that you can get to savour a reasonable quality of ‘delivery food’ standards right at your office, home or outdoors. They deliver to anywhere within 6km radius from their café location which is at 10 Winstedt Road so as to maintain the freshness and quality of food. Hence, fret not if you are ordering a Ribeye Steak with Mushroom Gravy, medium rare.

As you browse through thedietbutler.com, be sure to enter into w world of colours. Its well categorized with the colour themes (green, red, orange, purple, brown, yellow) that i’m sure you wont take your eyes off these juicy ingredients, meaningful quotes and foodies on each page.

To bring the vitamin levels up in your meal, be sure to spot different kinds of fruits specially complemented with each dish. Like for the Grilled Dory with Herbs (tarragaon & dill) and Lime Butter (S$12) , the dory is fresh and delicate, and it compliments the lime butter dressing.

Another recommended dish is the Grilled Chicken Breast with Spicy Mango Topper (S$12) if you are looking at some appetizing main course. Experience the sweet and spicy tinge with your tastebuds.

Taking a step further, The Diet Butler customizes meals to suit your dietary needs.
Save the bucks from food doctor. If you want a customize meal due to any medical conditions like diabetes, they will suggest meals that will suit your preference. Not only that, they will do a summary of the calorie count, nutritional information, and more in depth information on the food items.

Don’t wanna stuck in the lunch crowd? OT after office hours? Wanna try a different kind of delivery food? Do check it out at The Diet Butler and share your reviews too!

Do drop by their cafe if you are nearby as they serve walk-in orders too!

Italian Dinner  Smile Jul 31, 2013

I had a short walk to Nonna Linna from Tanjong Pagar mrt. Friend recommended this place for her birthday dinner as it is just below her workplace. I ordered the veal dish that comes with mashed potato and olive oil. This dish was quite a huge portion and it came with some toasted bread. On the other hand, my friends ordered squid ink spaghetti, sea urchin pasta, risotto and crab meat spaghetti. We had a red wine (Chianti Classico) to pair with our food. It doesn't taste too dry and went well with my veal. For desserts, we had panna cotta and tiramisu. I would strongly recommend the panna cotta as it is almost the best of all that I've ever eaten. It had a super smooth and silky texture. The chef was kind enough to serve us limoncello and it was on the house! We were very pleased with his kind gesture.

A TGIF dinner! Smile Jul 28, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hot Pot | BBQ

It was TGIF and while searching for a decent place for japanese food, I chanced upon Sho Teppan which serves shabu shabu and teppanyaki set meals. The restaurant dining concept is similar to those one will see in Japan, where food is prepared and served by the chef or waiter right at your dining table. I ordered a chicken with mushroom teppanyaki meal set with rice. The ingredients were served raw and pan-fried by the waiter. This would help to ensure that the food remain hot and sizzling before eating. The chicken slices were well marinated with the teppanyaki sauce and the vegetables like the carrot help to balance off the strong teppanyaki taste.
