This is a new addition hidden gem cafe nestled in Serangoon area. It's at the last corner among the row of shophouses. Though the location is not very convenient, don't be surprised that you will see customers keep coming in specially by taxi or driving. What makes this place so popular?
Of course it's their bold food creation! So far this is the first cafe that can impress me as i usually find cafe food very boring. But here, most of the food are quite interesting that i think it's not common to find at other cafes. If you're those adventurous type, come & try their special food items here!

Smoked Salmon & Cheese Toast - $12.90++

Scramble eggs with smoked salmon & cream cheese served on a buttered toast with grilled tomatoes & tomato marmalade. My first time to see smoked salmon toast served on a pizza board, very unique style! They cut the toast into two pieces to place the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The scrambled was a tad too creamy & it would be good if they can put in more smoked salmon and this will be perfect! A nice brunch though!

Bangkok Toast ($10.90++)

Cinnamon thick sweet brioche toast with matcha green tea custard, served with Thai milk tea ice-cream. This is their most popular dessert there that you have to order! I never expected that cinnamon, matcha and milk tea can blend together so well! I prefer the exterior of cinnamon toast than the interior as i find it more fragrant at the exterior. I dip the toast with the very very mild matcha taste custard and find it quite nice. The Thai milk tea ice-cream was fantastic to me, you can really taste the milk tea in ice-cream form! Heavenly matched dessert!

Royal Pavilion is a new 142-seater modern contemporary Cantonese fine-dining restaurant, helmed by Executive Chef Chung Ho Shi (Who is a veteran in his industry and formerly from Golden Peony @Conrad Centennial Singapore).

The food quality here is quite high! Love their Double-Boiled Shark's Fin Dumpling Soup ($8.80++).

and Carrot Cake with Lao Gan Tie Chili Sauce ($8.80++)

Service was very good here! Our plates were cleared regularly. Despite they were so busy, the staff still will come and check our pot of tea and refilled the water for us without us asking.. I really have nothing to complain about this restaurant and the service. Finally another new Chinese restaurant that is worth a revisit!

Eggs & Berries collaborated with Toast Junction, has opened a new outlet at Tanglin Mall in July 2014. Most of the food menu and prices here are different from other Eggs & Berries outlets. The prices here are more cheaper and affordable with very cosy ambience too.

They have a Value for Money All Day Breakfast: Eggs Benedict with English Muffins & Bacon ($12.90++) includes a free Hot Kopi! The eggs benedict were poached to almost perfecton. Outside was a little over-cooked with runny yolk inside! The eggs benedict with ham here were really big compared to the ones at Changi City Point outlet.

Fried Bee Hoon with Sambal Chilli ($3.90++) - Love their fried bee hoon. It was so much nicer than my house kopitiam! Very aromatic with great sambal chilli.

Their Italia Eggs Benedict Doppio ($18.90++) was quite good. Love their english muffin, very crispy and nice! Their eggs were also poached to almost perfecton. Outside was a little over-cooked with inside half-cooked. I like the parma ham to complement with the eggs benedict, just that the parma ham was very salty..

Sweet Brioche French Toast ($16.90++) was disappointing.. It comes with scrambled egg, caramelized banana, french toast & mixed greens. The scrambled egg was super dry and overcooked! Very bad... The french toast doesn't taste nice like other restaurants.. It taste something like fried beancurd... You can give this breakfast a miss.

Homemade Creme Brulee ($4.90++) was alright. It was put inside a small egg glass. But i think it's too creamy.. It would taste better if it's not too creamy...

The Clifford Pier serves local hawker fare, Western Classics and Afternoon Tea.

We were here for afternoon tea. Price: $38.00++ per person

Note: Items are refillable for individual set and Items are non-refillable for sharing set.

Overall the afternoon tea items here were average so don't expect anything that is mind-blowing.. But they were very generous to provide so many items for afternoon tea. We feel very full after we finished the 2 tiers, so we have to force ourselves to finish the 3rd tier. Therefore i think no refill of the items is needed unless you're a super big eater..

The main attraction to dine here is the lavish ambience rather than the food. But somehow it's a pity that the local hawker fare does not fit into the classy ambience here... This gorgeous restaurant should serve fine dining food or at least serve other types of food rather than hawker fare.

Another attraction to have afternoon tea here: The pianist-singer has a very nice & charming vocal that is very soothing to the ear!! It's a great pleasure to be here to enjoy the lush ballads. Only on Mon-Sat from 3-5pm!

Revisited another day to try their Pandan Ice-Cream Sandwich (Photo attached). I love it so much!  The Pandan Ice Cream was marvellous! It was very smooth and creamy with the fragrance of Pandan and complemented the soft rainbow sandwich! It's very rare to find Pandan ice cream else where in Singapore. I'm glad to find it at The Clifford Pier! A very wonderful dessert to make you end with a smile! smile

As for the service, there were some hits and misses from the waitresses. Only the manager (Elvin) provides the best service which was worth to mention on that day!
