Ramen ! Smile Feb 07, 2011

Daikokuya, a specialised ramen joint that would create a hike of anticipation to all ramen lovers! Promising famous ramen culture from all over Japan, a must visit joint for ramen foodie!

Was there onsite with my beloved gf for our usual Ramen hunt and we were certain to be dropping in @ Daikokuya. The joint was at its off peak period thus we were ushered to our seatings within seconds. Service is prompt with no hesitation and staff are ready and attentive for our orders. Food servings came in less than 10 mins which is acceptable. The salmon sashimi is at its freshness peak with decent marbling. Gyoza is crispy with great fillings and lastly the main, the ramen noodles are well cooked with the spongy effects. Soup base is thick but light on the tongue, topping and mixing in well with the vegetables condiments.

This is a joint not to be missed!!! Recommended for all occasions.

Brekkie in Greens! Smile Feb 07, 2011

Graze....a colonial style restaurant, housed in the lush and greenery of Rochester may well be the ideal choice for all lazy brunchers that enjoy the companionship of alfresco weekend brunches!

With a simple but yet fulfilling selection from their brunch menu, patrons will be spoilt for choice and a sinful desire to amp up more calories in the making. Staff and kitchen crew are very much particular on their food preparations timing as we were surprised that they politely reject our request for immediate sitting on a goodwill gesture as they do not wish to rush on the food servings. A big thumbs up to their dedication on maintaining of their food quality especially we did not make any prior reservation for the brunches.

Their signature cast iron pan, which is their house favourite is must have for all! Hens egg are nicely cooked with the sunny side up presentation. The beans are light and not overwhelmed with tomatoes sauces that may leave behind an unpleasant after taste. Bacons are cooked with perfection, promising crispy feel but yet retaining the succulent texture with the sauted mushroom adding to the finishing touches to the grilled sausages served!

For all pancake lovers, their pancake stack must never be missed! An excellent propeller in calories that will filled any gluttons' "fuel tank" to the brink. A heavenly combination of hot and cold food ingredients that consists fresh bananas, crispy fried bacons and with a scoop of melting ice cream, this will complete your lazy day! Another must have!!! *Photos do not lie! smile

For those who are keen for a more "meatier" approach on their brunches do note that their BBQ menu will start at 12pm! Check out from their friendly staff for more information!

A pre-Lunar New Year gathering with my gF and mates, I was introduced to this restaurant by her colleagues. Been passing by this outlet almost everyday and guess its all fated for me to give this hotpot restaurant a go after a long awaited miss!

T-One is a buffet style hotpot restaurant that serve the "eat all you can" food concept which would be well received by gluttons that goes on a capacity of "2.0L and above"! Service is prompt, generous on the servings and tag with food freshness, this is a place not to be missed!

With an average spending of $30 per person that include drinks and beers, T-One is the place to consider should you wish to have a cosy gathering with friends and mates! Recommended to all hotpot lovers!

Chicken Rice! Smile Dec 22, 2010
Categories : Hainanese | Chicken Rice

Been a regular patron of this specific chicken rice stall for the last 7 years and based on my opinion...this is actually one of the few that can offer the consistent standards and the influx of aroma within their fragrant rice and soothing texture of the chicken.

Do bear in mind that you are highly to be in their queue list should you be dropping by during lunch and dinner time thus any hours apart from the peak would form and translate to a meal that you well deserved less any form of frustrations.

Service has always been prompt and till to date personally, i do not have any complains and their level of cleanliness has always been maintained which can be easily seen upon sitting into the stall. The chicken served are claimed to be "Kampong Chicken" where it refers to chicken that are being rear and farm in the open field where all are free to roam thus contributing to the robust texture! Had a taste of kampong chicken during my trips in Thailand and Malaysia thus i do beg to differ on the actual status on the rearing procedures as offered by Chicken House.

Regardless of all....Chicken House do serve one of the best chicken rice in Singapore and should you be passing by Upper Thomson Road, do not give this stall a miss! Its another must try!
