this is the first time i tried eating at this store. This store is quite famous, with a sizable q everyday. it hav also won several awards.

you are given the choice to choose the items seperately, or just order the set at $6/7/8. I ordered the $6 version to share with a friend. The set consist of a little bit of everything. with sausage, tou fu, fishball, nio hiang, cumcumber, and some crispy stuff. The sauce consists of this thick gluey red sauce, that was sweet in flavour. Not really to my taste, but the chilli was nice. it was the oyster omelete kind of chilli, and it goes well with the wu xiang. mi fen costs an extra $0.80

lao ban  Smile May 30, 2012

tried the famous lao ban at maxwell for the first time today. everyone was raving about it and the q is super long everyday. Today however, the q was quite reasonable with only 3 people in front. Hence i decided to give it a shot. Bought by quite a few for the family and friends.

The tou hua, is not the normal kind with sugar syrup, but instead a pudding texture. it was really soft and silky. where it really just slid down your throat, the sweetness was also just rite. Must try when u are in the area.

nt here last year to try the pancakes, so i am here again to try out the pancakes again. this time i am back for more.
tried the savoury pancake with sausage this time.

the pancake is soft and the consistency is great. the susauge is also just right. crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. the maple sauce also mixes well with the pancake, and the sweetness is just rite on the tastebuds.

the staff are also very friendly and approachable. great place to hang out and chat.

what better to cool down from the heat in a healthy alternative. Sogurt is the ans to the problem! A healthy alternative to ice cream and it comes in many different flavours to boot. What i like about sogurt is the friendly staff and the DIY style of serving where i get to swirl any way i like, and any amount. The yogurt is also very fresh and refreshing. The sweetness is also just right.

beancurd tarts Smile May 21, 2012

Beancurd tarts are still relatively new in the market and a rare to find. But luckily there is this shop at rochor that sells one of the best bean curd tarts ever. The pastry is crispy and soft at the same time. The bean curd is also soft and silky, and matches well with the crispy texture of the pastry.
