overrated pau Cry Jan 09, 2012
Categories : Hawker Centre

i think they really use to have mouth watering dim sum before they expanded their business to many branches. I still remember the old day my grandma will bring back tiong bahru pau for tea time.

I had this terrible pau last weekend at tiong bahru market. It is not fresh, the dough are thick and hard, the filling are so little which i can't feel it at all. It might be the staff who did not do the steam job well.

Other than that, siew mai not as good as before. it is getting smaller and smaller. disappointed....

non-guilt dessert froyo Cry Jan 08, 2012

Yogurt ice cream is one of the healthy choice and tasty treat among all the dessert you can have after a heavy dinner. Sour sally located at a cozy corner of wisma atria where no one would even notice. Atmosphere are simply similar to mr beans.

I got this voucher from friends which offer us buy 1 free 1 of small cup of yogurt ice cream. The selection of toppings isn't outstanding, and the fruits don't look or taste so fresh. Nothing impressive, just ordinary froyo.

very commercialize korean food  Cry Dec 13, 2011

Had lunch at this place one of the day at raffles city where you dont see crowd compare to others. Out of curiosity we gave it a try.

It wasent a pleasant meal. The menu has limited choice and the service are lousy, it takes forever to serve us. Menu range are limited and the set meal i ordered are small portion, Kimchi stew with no meat, too spicy and i dont taste the kimchi at all and brothy beef taste either.

Furthermore set lunch dosent come with drinks and it still cost us about sgd20 per pax which it can be too pricey for a normal korean food.

Spending per head: Approximately $25

ain't typical indian cuisine Cry Aug 30, 2011

This is the most expensive indian meal i ever had.

Had dinner here with my voucher given by friend, total bill comes up to sgd60 and not enough to fill our tummy. We ordered lamb briyani, which taste quite good as the rice are not too oily, a dessert which is over sweet for my liking, i cant even finish it! and a pot of curry to eat with the briyani.

I have higher expectation from this place, indoor atmosphere are creepy, the light are not bright enough and u cant even see what you eating! food portions are small and too pricey for such indian food.

So so mongolian Cry Aug 28, 2011

It is sort of a rubbish food to me.

Not much selection, so we order what the staff recommend us, Genghis Khan, which enables you to keep yourself refill with your own bowl with noodles/rice, vegetables and meat/seafood, and your own sauce too. Then u will send the ingredient to the kitchen and they will cook it for you. Somehow not a very good structure as the staff did not communicate well and cause delayed, the rice was serve very late and cold. Very boring kind of buffet which u dont see any other food than fried rice/fried noodle, just in different ingredient and taste.

Not a good experience as the price are abit too expensive for such ordinary food.
