Overrated mee hoon kuey Cry Aug 17, 2011
Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

i’m a mee hoon kuey freak, there was one period of time i used to have it every day. what’s worse, i could have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. i don’t know why im so in love with it.

I never give up trying every stall just to get the best one. Therefore this is one of the 'experiment'. the mee hoon kuey are tender and smooth because it is handmade, which is the best of all, its not too over cook too but the soup are rather tasteless, u cant taste the aroma of the anchovies at all.

Overall the mee hoon kuey was not very delicious, but the egg gives it an overall smooth and pleasant texture, a rather hit and miss. it cost sgd3 per bowl.

Hotdog's world Cry Aug 17, 2011

After eyeing this place for years, I finally had a chance to try it on my most recent trip to vivo. they also have another branch at somerset 313.

They have a large selection of burgers and hot dogs, but after tried on it, its just an average hot dog. i ordered a bacon chili dog and upgraded it to a valuemeal which cost me about sgd8.70±+ together with a drinks and fried.. Nothing you couldn't make at home with the basic fixings you have in the fridge, or chili you might have in the can. it wasn't particularly delicious and prices here are a little higher than most fast food chains. Not a place i will opt for if i have a crave for fast food.

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Dinner)

Kraze-fast food chain Cry Aug 15, 2011

Kraze Burger is horrible. it is pricey!

Kraze burger is one of the popular burger franchise from Korea and we were told that Kraze Burger had the best burgers but it was such a disappointment! such a rip off price for a tiny sad little burger! even McDonalds or Burger King is better quality if you just need a fast food fix. It's really overpriced and bland....... the fries are soggy, tasteless even with a thick melted cheese topping. nothing impressive.

the dinner cost us sgd80 for 3 pax. u can have 10 sets or McDonald meal and it taste even better than this.

Spending per head: Approximately $30

Drinking Place Cry Aug 15, 2011

Located heart of the clarke quay. Le noir is one of the crowded Outdoor bar and luxurious indoor lounge.

Besides than music and drinks, Le noir do serve snacks platter and french cuisine as well. But the main attraction is still the round outdoor bar. The interior Decor wise its dark , and glossy all over rather like one of them coloured chandeliers.

We went there for dinner couple months ago to fill out tummy before drinking. The set dinner are quite worth a value, which includes a soup of the day, main course and dessert which cost sgd35 per set.

For those who prefer an alfresco setting, Le Noir offers a perfect location for dining with excellent view of Singapore river.

Spending per head: Approximately $30(Dinner)

24 hours coffee place OK Mar 26, 2012

i love noodles. especially the dry one.

EAT has a few branches around singapore. I have seen this eating house at couple of places and nothing special about it. What attract people is they actually open 24 hours a day! where you don't have to stuff yourself unhealthy fast food middle of the night and crave for something steaming hot.

I had a bowl of decent dry u mien from EAT. Overall the whole bowl of noodle are just normal and nothing to shout about.
