Authenthic white Lor Mee Smile Mar 21, 2012

It is my first time trying the white Lor Mee. And this is the must try item in this place.

A very old school environment which gave people a very homey feeling while dine in. Their Lor met are made of flavourful broth top with many different ingredient which is resh clams, fresh prawn, pork slice, special tao pok, veggie, and others and the not forgetting the main ingredient, lor mee.

Other than that, fried lala is one of their signature dish where you can see every table will have it. I love how they cook the lala, where they still remain the freshness of the lala and never overcooked or covered them with other flavor.

Try to be there early to avoid disappointment. It can be very very crowded and we always have to share table with others just to have the food!

Affordable western food Smile Mar 21, 2012

I've been going to Botak Jones since they first opened, and for good reason. The food is delicious, the prices are affordable, and the service is amazing. My 1st visit to this to a payoh branch. We ordered each of us a set of western food. and i decided to try cajun chicken set which comes with 2 side dished.

The chicken is topped with a layer of melted cheese and their cajun sauce, an intensely garlicky, spicy, aromatic mixture that I find myself rather enamored with. Chicken is flavorful and juicy too. And not forgetting it was served with very big portion of side dishes. And the whole big plate of thing only cost me SGD8.90!

Meanwhile, If you want a cheap, yet tasty place to get fish and chips then this is the place to go!

P/s: the coleslow much tastier than kfc one.

As mentioned on my 1st review i will come back for my pint size butter pecan and gold medal ribbon ice cream and i finally made it with my ice cream fanatic friend!

This round time we did also tried Pistachio Almond. A unique flavor, nicely dense texture, with the occasional crunch from the almonds. Baskin Robbins ice cream offers a large selection of ice cream and it's delicious. I find that the consistency of the ice cream and the right blend.

Oooooh my goodness. It was delicious. So so fudgy, and creamy, and wonderful.

Weekly routine Smile Mar 21, 2012

Dim Sum always sounds good to eat in the daytime. I have weird cravings for this stuff every weekend.

Ever since the first visit, Asia grand has became my weekly dim sum place for my craving. I will never forget to order my favorite among all which is har gao. Chunks of fresh bursty prawns are mixed into a delicious paste that’s steamed inside a sticky glutinous rice dough where you can't get it from other restaurant! It is definitely a must try item when you pay a visit to this place!

Crispy Lechon! Smile Mar 20, 2012
Categories : Filipino | Food Court

I learned to dine here after recommended by a Philippine colleague. From what she told me this is a legendary place in the Philipino community which they can find their real authentic food here.

We ordered the signature dish - lechon which is sort of like roast pork but not sure how they do it, it is way much crispier than the rest! It was juicy inside and the skin was so so so crispy. They serve so well together with the home made sauce, which made of vinegar with scallions and pepper.

If you craving for home cook food, come to this place. And do come early if you would like to try more varieties of foods.
