Dinner Smile Sep 17, 2010

Had a sumptuous dinner to celebrate Standard Chartered Post Marathon at The Seafood International. We had lobster sashimi on ice, curry crab (instead of chilli crab) with garlic bread. Lobster sashimi was crunchy and very fresh.

Loved the garlic bread the most because the garlic spread used was just right - buttery & the garlic taste is not too overpowering. Crispy yet not hard even though it was spread on toasted sliced french loaf.

Ala Carte Lunch Buffet Smile Sep 17, 2010   (Related Review)

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Seafood

Went for This restaurant Ala Carte Lunch Buffet after seeing the recommendation from Channel 5 Buffetlicious Show.

The buffet features 40 variety of dishes, of which 12 dishes are served only once while the rest are unlimited. Main ingredients used are seafood though there is also chicken, duck and beef dishes as well as 5 types of dim sum. Desserts range is quite limited though. Per pax is about $24++. Chinese tea is charged additional $2/pax. Timing of buffet from 11am - 2.30pm. Last order is around 1.45pm. It's a seated buffet whereby you ordered from the menu and they'll prepare according, unlike the usual buffet style.

Can apply for the membership at $60 for 2 years as you'll get a $80 voucher which you can use to offset your dining - saving of $20 plus additional 10% discount with member card. Comes with birthday perks.

We, a party of 6, had the buffet lunch on a Saturday from 11am - 2pm. Total bill is approx. $170.35. After offsetting the $80 voucher + 10% discount, final bill is $90.35.
There is slight changes in the August 2010 buffet menu from that of the Sep ~ Jan 2011 menu (ie. those marked "New" are the changes).

Peking Duck Smile Dec 28, 2010

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood | Zi Char

Celebrated my sister's birthday @ this restarant as her favourite dish was the Peking Duck.

We ordered a few other dishes like: Wasabi Prawns, pork ribs with honey & Spinach Beancurd. Desserts we had deep-fried ice-cream (chocolate flavour only) & mango cream with pomelo (sourish).

The Peking duck (@$50) was our favourite. One duck serves about 20 pcs. The sauce was great! Wasabi prawns, the wasabi sauce was not too strong & saves you having to peel the shells.

Had a bowl of Ajisen spicy ramen for dinner. It was value for money @ $6.80 ($8 after GST & service charge).

Soup was milky-spicy & as I'm a spicy food lover, I chose this over the Aso Ramen.

Fish Market Manhattan Smile Sep 27, 2010
Categories : American | Seafood | Halal | Kids-Friendly

We had dinner at Manhattan Fish Market on a weekday evening after work. We had the Flaming Platter for two @$30+ - fish fillet, calamari, oysters and prawns served with chips and garlic rice. The garlic rice is tasty! We topped up additional $4.90 for 1cold drink + 1 soup of the day. Mushroom soup is good. The portion is more than enough for 2 pax unless you are quite a big eater.

Quite worth it if you want variety and value.

The signature Fish & chips @ $9.90 is delicious too if you are on a budget. Top up $4.90 to get 1 drink + soup of the day will give one quite a satisfying meal smile
