The strawberry butter cream puff is probably one of the most unique puffs Chewy Junior has to offer. The thick strawberry jam is sweet and really tasty. However, the strawberry butter cream was very creamy. Thankfully, the taste of butter isn't too strong. The puff is soft, with sweet cream in it. Its a pretty fancy snack for a light meal. I do recommend it.

Chocolate donut OK Oct 20, 2011

I picked up a Chocolate Donut from Bang Deli. Its only $1.20 and its pretty much an average sized donut. Great chocolate rice on it. Not too sweet. The bread was average. It wasn't too dry and was of average texture. Overall, its pretty average and was worth the money.

Chicken cutlet w/ egg & mushrooms OK Oct 18, 2011

Mayim has introduced new menus and now the menus are easier to read and the items are properly categorised. Other changes made include: Slight price increase in items, different pricing system, new items and a 'xiao cai'. The xiao cai was served automatically after I've made my order. It costs $0.50 per person but its refillable. You can also request for them to not serve it.

Anyway, I tried one of their new dishes, the golden fried chicken cutlet served with egg and button mushroom in hot pan. Although it looked really good, it was actually pretty tasteless. Everything was tasteless. The egg was half-cooked, the way I like it but it had only a slight hint of egg's taste. The chicken was moist but absolutely no unique taste except for the oil.

It costs $9.80 and is a pretty big serving but definitely not worth it.

Sandwiches OK Oct 06, 2011

Whenever I walk past Four Leaves I'd definitely look at their sandwiches. It looks really good from the way they presented it but b/c of the price I've never really wanted to try it.

Anyway, I decided to have it for lunch and went ahead to buy it even though it cost me nearly $5. To their defence, although sliced up in small pieces, that's probably like 2.5 full-sized sandwiches.

The bread looked really moist and were actually overly-moist for my liking. I especially liked the cheese sandwiches b/c the cheese were very thick, which is always a good thing for a sandwich. The rest of the fillings (egg and ham) weren't too special and were like any other sandwiches.

It was nice trying it but there's really nothing too unique about it for it to cost nearly $5. If anyone's going to try it, it'll probably be good to share it smile

Creamy chicken pasta OK Oct 06, 2011
Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

I decided to buy the Creamy Chicken pasta from Pastamania. I chose the linguine pasta and upsized it to the large size. It was really nice of them to separate the pasta from the cream.

When I got home, I made the mistake of pouring all the sauce into the pasta immediately. I'd recommend dipping the pasta into the sauce instead because by pouring it it just sipped into the bottom.

Anyway, the cream sauce was unexpectedly tasteless but thankfully they had given me many chunks of chicken to make up for the lack of taste. Personally I didn't like the fact that it was almost tasteless but it was really filling and costs only $10.70.
