I've always wondered how those packet Japanese ramen tastes like and I finally decided to give it a try. It was unexpectedly good and the noodles surprised me. It tastes just like the ones those Japanese restaurants serve. The flavour I had was Tonkotsu (pork ~) with sesame oil. The tonkotsu soup was slightly salty but actually had a unique taste and as seen, the soup was very thick. I'm not a big fan of sesame oil but it tastes fine with the tonkotsu soup. However, I'd rather not put it in next time.
It takes only 5 minutes or so to cook (the same way you cook instant noodles) and tastes similar to ramen served in typical Singapore Japanese restaurants. Costs only $5.50 for 2 servings. Its much cheaper and faster serving time as compared to Jap restaurants
why not?
Spending per head: Approximately $5.50
