Hor Fun is one of my favourite food, so I would eat it whenever I had the chance or feels like eating it. It's pretty unhealthy, but most unhealthy food are the nicest too!
This Hor Fun I got was frm the neighbourhood coffeeshop below my block. The stall that sells it was a Zi Char stall, so it only opens ard 5pm, when it serves the evening crowd dinner (used to open in the afternoon too, but now it opens during the night only).
The Hor Fun was a reasonable pricing of $3.50, and came with a substantial amount of veggies (spinach if Im not wrong), 2 prawns, sliced fishcakes, sliced meat and egg.
Hor Fun Noodles The noodles were those you normally find in fishball kuay teow soup, except that they were fatter. Texture wise, they were smooth and soft enough for 1 bite and you could cut the noodles into half. The noodles were also not very long, which made it easier to eat since I could scoop them into my spoon.
IngredientsThe spinach was a mixture of leaves and stalks. Both were soft, even the stalks, and me, who doesnt usually eat veggie's stalks, ate the stalks too. The meat was also very soft, easy to chew and swallow. Think they put cornflour to soften it before cooking.
There were alot of fishcakes given, all big pieces. So much that almost every mouth I could have half a fishcake to go with the noodles.
The prawns are easy to eat, the head and shell were alrdy removed, except the tail end. They were fresh too.
The eggs were mixed into the hor fun, and it just made the whole hor fun nicer! (I love eggs
)
Overall, a very worth and satisfying meal I had. The taste was pretty good and to my liking too, will continue to buy it.
